That's cooool... I'd love to see a tutorial on how to build this. Is there no way to make the mac or the projector work in "mirror" mode so everything is the right way round?
Dude this screen is awesome.... Please share the tutorial.... I'm trying to build my own... btw whats the screen size and what did you use for back lighting?
If not a video tutorial atleast please share the steps and used components.....
@Zolg08 it appears reversed because as explained in the description, it is taken with a iMac webcam. If i wanted to reverse the image all i would need to do is use the 'image flip' function, which is a feature on all modern projectors.
@PS3FANBOYLAD It's a cheap Chinese LED projector called a Luxcine ESP104. It has a great picture, but has many other technical flaws so i would NOT reccoment buying one.
The media centre is PLEX, run from a new iMac 21.5'.
Go for a LG200 (i think that's what they are called) LED. Cheap, simple and does the job if you want a budget pj with long lamp life (20,000+hrs)
Thanks for the comment, if you need any more info just ask. :)
@Discofreestyle Its a LG hs 200 or hs201 you're talking about. But the lumen output is pretty low. I like what youve done with the screen though. Please put up a tutorial!
@Discofreestyle Ahh, I see.. Afer finding out plugs(for outlets) and DVDs have so many different country codes, etc., it would be nice to figure out how you made yours. I hope you get enough responses so you can share your way of making it.
@BarbieBillionaire hmm, i wouldn't say it was easy, but certainly not too difficult. I think anyone with the right tools and a bit of patience could do it.
It concerns me there are so many videos of really bad screens on Youtube, with the right material and a bit of effort i think having a good screen that enhances the image, for very little money is a possibility for anyone who can be bothered to put the effort in.
Thanks for your comment, if you have any more questions, i'm happy to help. :)
