  • How can something be so terrible and so fantastic at the same time? xD

  • OMFG I'm not even a med student and yet I can't stop listening to this damn song

  • nice and cute

  • This is actually its kinda catchy!

  • Comment removed

  • This is shit.

  • Fucking stupid!

  • YOU SIR....ARE A LEGEND

  • i listen to this everyday. i downloaded this on my ipod :D

  • That was beyond retarded... Wow

  • what a idiot

  • He's wrong. The A.V. valves are closed during systole and open during diastole.

  • @louisdudson2 with all due respect, I was thought otherwise. The AV valves are opened during atrial systole when 30 % of the blood is pushed actively in the ventricules. And they are opened for a perriod of time during atrial diastole when the remaining 70% of the blood passes passivly in the ventricules. The only time the AV valves are closed is during the ventricular systole. I'm sorry if I made any mistakes, English is not my first language

  • hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha ... this is what it would be like if we lived in a world that breaks into a song every now and then like high school musical!!!

  • fuckin idiot...damnit stupid moher fucker

  • @Mrkchero2 mother*

  • RETARD video!

  • Also, this video doesn't even say if it's systole/diastole of the damn atria or ventricles. Like I knew which is which, but it's not like there's only one systole and one diastole, they alternate -_-

  • @iamblue337 Yes it is very observant and nit-picky of you to report that systole, according to it's definition, does not specifically refer to the atria or the ventricles. HOWEVER, when just about any normal human being in the world is talking about systole, they are referring to the ventricles, because they are the powerhouse of the heart. As evidenced by the larger amplitude ventricular polarizations seen on EKGs. The atria are fine and dandy but gravity does a good chunk of their work.

  • @iamblue337 Well they alternate most of the time. Except after the T wave and before the P wave when all four chambers are in diastole. And yes, unless specified, systole/diastole refer to the ventricular cycle.

  • @iamblue337 if the aortic valve is open during systole, it's safe to say he's refering to the left ventricle. :)

  • In our class we always wanted to watch it. I'll try to load up a video witch children are dancing this.

  • lol,,,,,,so funny, yet nice try doc

  • Am I the only geek who noticed that QRS interval looks prolonged...? >.<

  • @AtalantaNuminor Seems like it! But I would have to agree with you on that!

  • @AtalantaNuminor no...unfortunately :\

  • @AtalantaNuminor Plus the Q looks a little too depressed which is indicative of a MI...

  • This song has been stuck in my head for 3 days. now.. HA!

  • People are HATERS !!! I watched ,, I liked ,,, I moved on !! it’s a helpful tool & makes learning stuff a little fun ! good job .. don’t listen to these rude ass people that have nothing better to do than trash a bunch of You Tube videos !!!

  • It's hilariously bad, but at least you'll remember the difference between systole and diastole.... I was shocked when I read that a professor made this, I thought it was probably a high school teacher at best. Someone who's never learned about the heart before would get more use out of this, but for people who are actually studying in the medical field at post secondary institutions... I mean, they could use something a LOT more in depth than that.

  • My teacher showed us this ages ago ..... it actually helped us learn :'] IMPRESSED!!! <3

  • Great stuff. It's amazing what we do to remember these things. Keep it up!

  • oh God...

  • This clip is quite pathetic. You're an idiot if it helps you

  • @Schizoman45 your an idiot quite pathetic yourself ... if u dnt like it dnt watch it smart ass !!!

  • @klynn42066 hey fuck you guy!

  • I like just because I know my teachers dont give a damn or is trying to hard to be conservative and professor- like to get out of the box and try to do something to really help the student learn! Thanx teach!!!;)

  • thanks! you helped me remember!

  • AWESOME. I LOVE IT WHEN HE STARTS FREESTYLING. :D

  • I thought it was catchy. Thank you.

  • For the trouble he went to he could have put a bit more info in, but good on him. Better than chalk and talk, even if it is an over 30 rapping ( don't worry i'm over 30 and know my place )

  • give him a break. he is a teacher trying to teach stupid kids about the heart. at least he gave a damn

  • @Galileo0601 Yes, you're right he probably did give a damn. However, your implication that medical students, or any students for that matter, are "stupid kids" doesn't really help validate your argument. Although one could argue that anyone who is willing to go somewhere near half a million dollars into debt to help people could be considered 'stupid.'

  • Lyrics Fail.

  • what a dorky looking guy...

  • he surley thinks u're all retarded :)) that's why he must be

  • :))) funny. Gonna sing this at the exam

  • Entertaining, but not very helpful. +1 for the song. Gotta love American mispronounciation "Systol-ie" instead of "Sysl-ole". :P

  • Does he have any more? :D

  • This cracks me up!!! I love it..I will never forget this!!! I want to see more of this guy...ha!

Thanks for sharing this to help me remember systole/diastole and well, just to make me laugh!

  • My anatomy teacher showed this to us and I'll be damned if we don't know when the aortic valve is open and closed.

  • I hope i could have such a professor

  • If he helped you to learn, then he doesn't suck that much, does he?

  • This is amazing! I dont know what your talking about......I wish my profs did this kind of stuff!

  • donde puedo conseguir la letra????

  • Wow....................[Speechless]

  • Ah, my teacher showed this to us today.

    This is amazing.

  • utter legendary. seriously.

  • troppo forte

  • you're so lucky.. my anatomy lessons are so darn boring.. no cadavers, just some boring power point.. n books..

  • that is the best finger dancing i have ever seen!!!

  • hahaha yesssssss... this will be going through my head during my next anatomy test fo shizzle.

  • what a cool dude!

ha this gave me a smile whilst tryin to get head around this topic!

  • This information is correct but he should add more to this. not only is the aortic semilunar valve open during sytole so is the pulmonary semilunlar valve. during disotle the AV or (atrioventricular valves) will be open while the semilunar valves will be closed

  • This is NOT an anatomy/physiology lesson...at best it is something to waste your time on.

You mentioned being able to learn this stuff in 2 minutes...perhaps you should take a few more minutes and actually learn it before posting 5 messages about how this is wrong and you are better.

Being on the internet is no excuse for ignorance.

PS: I know the information is correct otherwise I wouldn't have posted it. Thanks for your help though!

  • @signaleffect hahahha steckona u got owned! *shakes head*

  • @signaleffect this isn't really an excuse, he put a lot of effort into this obviously. He should've said more than the aortic valve is open/closed. A 3rd grader could comprehend this amount of knowledge. Our professor literally did a dance around the room to show us the pathway of blood through the heart in like 15 minutes.

  • @steckona thanks that helped!

  • @steckona I'm glad you mentioned the additional information that could have been put in.

  • he gets an A for effort!!!

  • lolol omg. 5 stars. I'm not sure if the message is correct? can someone confirm this

  • I would trade-in my LAB TA for this guy any day of the week. lol

  • as dumb as this is, it's probably going to help me

  • yeah I feel the same

  • You should start the new age "shcool house rock"!!!

  • LOLOL.. I Love this guy.. He knows the mind!

  • you can tell he's a dedicated teacher, that doesn't happen a lot anymore. It would help if more teachers were willing to put themselves out there like that in order for our kids to learn. While still funny I applaud him!

  • Although I don't doubt his dedication because he is a generally nice person and willing to help us by showing this clip. But I do doubt his knowledge since we sadly learned more from this clip than we did from his lectures and that is scary when he is a tenured professor at a medical school.

  • tuneeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!

  • CRINGE!

i would DIE if our lecturer did that haha!

    just brilliant XD

  • Actually, during systole, the aortic valve doesn't open until after isovolumetric contraction of the ventricles (i.e., ventricles have to reach a certain pressure before the valve opens).

  • This is too funnny ahahahah

  • yaaaaaaaaay soooo coool.... this really helpd me 2 remmber....i'll defently wont 4gt it ever!!!! THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! u're a genious

  • love it!

  • lol I don't think I'll ever forget that now

  • omg!!! sooo funny- i would die if my professor did this- but i would love it.. this is going to be stuck in my head! THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!!

  • wow that was different

  • If you need a song to help remember that much on valves opening and closing your a moron!!

  • LMAO!

  • Perhaps you're correct about being a moron...but I really hope people aren't using this as a primary source to learn.

  • @Schizoman45 Hey there, maybe you should learn how to spell your (you're) before you call this guy a moron. I found his clip helpful. In fact I'm having trouble getting it out of my head..... "during systole......the aortic valve is OPEN!!!!....... someone stop the music!!!!!

  • Sweeeeet!

  • I'll be singing this song during my nursing exam!

  • i don't get it still. I came online looking for something to help me get this.. but this video has me so confused.

  • I will never forget it now. Thanks for posting this!

  • Actiing goovy like this is a good learning tool actually. This guy knows what he is doing. Thank you

  • hey murray good job on this

  • You just KNOW he wasn't wearing any pants when he made this video!

  • Gibts das auch in deutsch bitte? :D+

  • my biology teacher showed me this =)

  • fesialogy during diassole is OPEN!!!!!!!! fesialogy on sistaley is ! OPEN!!!!!!!!!! yo great video man. i know it off by hard.

  • physiology you fucking retard! systole and diastole moron

  • wait, you just said the aortic valve is open for both. you're a dumbass

  • thanks 2 this white ass honkey i passed my paramedic exam, thanks casper!

  • He has too much time on his hands

  • lol much agreed

  • Ugh your really fucking crap.

    Thats bullshit, shut up.

Do you know what your saying?

  • The choreography is incredible...and the vocals are spot on...

  • :> thanx

  • I swear, every time I need to be reminded of this physiology, I refer to this video. maybe he didn't suck so bad after all

  • haha this song is stuck in my head.

  • I will have nightmares.

  • during diasole the AORTIC valve is CLOSED!!

if only the cardiovascular system was this easy

  • LMFAO I would love to have this guy for anatomy

  • my bio teacher showed us this. so amazing

  • loool des haben wir in bili-bio geguckt

  • hahahaha....

  • wow..i love this guy..hehe
