  • As a victim of a person like this...... Y'all really need to think about the victims left in his wake. Where are their memorials?

  • Nasty Azz MF!!!!

  • Why are all of you people on here praising this man, as if he was not the monster he was? This man was a serial child molester, who died of HIV/AIDS and gave that disease to one of his young male victims. It is very doubtful that he escaped hell.

    You people are sickening.

  • @NotYourTypicalNegro where's the proof?

  • @mislex20, with all due respect, where have you been? On the moon?

Do a Google search on "Molested In A Mega Church Greater St Stephens And Phillip Britton". You will see where Phillip Britton pled "no contest" (which is a form of "guilty") to having sex with an underage boy. Also, the district attorney's office pursued charges against him for exposing a teen to HIV/AIDS. The victim died of HIV/AIDS that he got from Britton.

Also, if this is not enough "proof", ask the dead boy's MOTHER.

  • @NotYourTypicalNegro ok cool my first time heard of phillip britton and what he did and of course what he did was wrong i agree. nice talking to you.

  • @NotYourTypicalNegro DUDE!!!! WHERE ARE YOU GETTING YOUR FACTS FROM??? Joe is still ALIVE and kicking!!!! And it also came out in the trial that he (the victim) already was HIV before Phillip allegedly had sex with him!!! PLEASE CHECK THE COURT RECORDS at N.O. CITY HALL via COURT PUBLIC RECORDS!!!!

  • This was a great, but the story of his life began way before he came to CSS. The life go back to Detroit, where his Grandparents was apart of Jones Church of God In Christ, to the days of the late Donald Vail & The Voices of Deliverence and the late Rev. Charles Nicks & The St. James Baptist Church of Detroit. It was there when he recvd his calling into the Ministry and given the blessings to located to New Orleans to apart of CSS. We should never forget the bridges that lead us on our journey

  • Phillp, thanks for all the encouraging words man you gave to me. the words of wisdom will go along way sir!! fullgospel this year will not be the same without you being with us in the flesh but we know you will be there in spirit!! see you in that great getting up morning!!!

  • I am shocked and saddened to hear about the passing of Elder Britton. I've had the pleasure of working with him at the FGBCF Interanational Conf. for the past few years, and he TRULY BLESSED me each and every time! My thoughts and prayers are with the family.

  • i knew phil from jones temple he was a great blessing to the body of Christ

  • Just remembering Phil and the days long gone at Jones Temple. The Lord will give strength to His people; The Lord will bless His people with peace" (Psalm 29:11).

  • This is great. Thanks for sharing. I once sang with the GSS Mass Choir. I remember when Phil taught us a praise song. I told him, "Why did you teach us that white folks song. Little did I know, he was preparing us for another level of praise. He was an awesome gift.

  • Wow!!!

  • This was a wonderful tribute. My favorite memory of Elder Britton is when they were doing the live recording of the We offer Christ to you CD and he is directing True Praise. It was powerful.

Thanks Elder for the wonderful Praise & Worship

  • Even though I presently reside in Birmingham Alabama, I met Phil in New Orleans during my undergrade dayz. I was recently reminded of his kind spirit and smile when our paths crossed in Nashville Tenn this past August 08' - He smiled as He exited the stage, and made me promise to keep in touch, I'm going to really miss him. I'll be praying for Joey and the entire Britton family, as well as the Greater St. Stephen's Family, (New Orleans and Atlenta).

    Be Blessed and Stay Strong!!!

  • I've only Phillip for a short time through the GMWA Atlanta Chapter, and I must say he had such a "sweet spirit". God has given and he come to recv the one that he had given. And, now he is resting peacefully with our Saviour.

Now we shall rejoice and be glad in it. May God continue to bless the Britton Family and yes my GMWA Atlanta Chapter Family.

For yes God will "give you brand new life".

    Love you Vivian

  • To the family:

Elder Britton was an awesome gift to the body of Christ and is now Heaven's gain. I pray your continued strength during this time.
