The most notable of which is the one of Hamdingers which "nobody likes" so they used them to hide the Deus Ex Machina, an escape pod that Joel used to escape. Yes I'm a nerd.

I believe the main reason was because it was an hour and a half long. You could fit 3 different shows in that time. That is also the reason nobody wants them for reruns. Also, the availability of movies that were in the public domain, or at least affordable to use in the show were running low. 199 movies is a lot. It had to come to an end. But yeah, it's very sad a great show is gone. At least there's Rifftrax.

MST3K is arguably the best show in tv history for comedy, cult fiction, etc imo. Seinfeld is not even a close 2nd.

Gee, reasons to cancel MST3K:

1)They were running out of films to abuse.

2)Joel got burned out so he passed the torch to Mike, who then passed the torch to whats her name.

3)It had a 10 year run and a movie- you can only run a joke so long before it becomes stale.

Add all these items up and its amazing- in spite of being very funny- it lasted as long as it did!

Remember, even Jack Benny and Lucille Ball finally died of old age.
