  • Cavitaing is when the prop starts to suck in air

  • how does it suck air when its under water loll

  • it is actually when a gaseous bubble forms around the prop blades, what you are thinking of is ventilation which has similarities but is a little different

  • my 8hp mercury cavitates too, trim 4 is the fastest but you have to click it from 3-4 while on plane because you barely plane with trim 4 because of the cavitating.

  • why do the engines sound so? it wasnt on plain when u pulled back the throttle?

  • Cleaver props cavitate when getting on plane. You need to back off the throttle to get them to hook-up.
