What's the wife's name? Both on the show and her real name? Always thought she was a skinny, but sexy wench. Often went braless in the show.....which back then was "porn" for 13 year olds.
Can't remember the last time I saw this show... this and One Day At a Time were my favorites of this time period. It's still just as funny as I remember. I barf every time I see 'Friends' or whatever garbage is on now. It's like how Dreamworks and Family Guy never ever shut up to keep your attention because they aren't that good where Pixar and the Simpsons are just brilliant.
@djuri0612 excluding the 90's Seinfeld and Modern Family today which are also brilliant today. And excluding hbo and showtime stuff too lol. I would also like to add that somehow I am a distant relative of Marcia Strassman. No idea how but my family used to brag about it all the time when this show was on. Again, no idea how but hi Marcia. lol
verna jean and wills mother were the first 2 real female sweathogs, and made lots of appearances on season 1, but once the audience for the 4 some guys grew, they started moving the girls to the background, and by the 4th season they were forgotten, and seaon 5 they had a season with some new girl who they tried to pass off as the first girl sweathog. it only lasted 1 more season after that
This is really sweet. TV was so much better in the 1970s. The humor was socially relevant but never pushy or "PC", the whole mood is wild and playful and it was before that real dark Letterman styled cynicism took over. This was Watergate cynicism - with heart.
vernajean "took a raincheck". it goes on to show that kotter gets em to pretend to be a married couple in class and horshack was their "accident" child. they get behind on rent, have a big fight and freddy reveals his fear of losing her. they solve their problem and vernajean "takes a raincheck" as she put it
Epstein has passed away R.I.P. LOVED!! WELCOME BACK KOTTER
