If you're wondering why it looks a little wobbly like a handheld camera, that's how the TV studios converted the slow-scan pictures received from the moon into a format that could be broadcast to ordinary TVs - by pointing a TV camera at the slow-scan monitor screen. Low-tech, but effective enough.

What NASA actually did was attach a camera to an extended arm on the landing craft. This camera was lined up with the exit port and was operated from within the craft. Hence, Neil Armstrong's famous first step onto the Lunar surface was watched LIVE as it happened.

What distance is the hummingbird? You have to plug all three variables into the focal point equation to find the exact size of "too small." There is a lower limit, as thats the whole reason microscopes have a different optical layout.

My point is, watch the following two clips. They are both from 1969 (the Apollo moon landing year). The moon footage (first clip, you just watched it) is very grainy, black and white the audio fuzzy and difficult to hear clearly. Right...What the fu(k do you see in the commercial (second clip)...a crisp clear (according to their standards anyway) and very understandable commercial...I TELL YOU!!!!!
