  • What is your opinion on drinking milk and tea? I drink at least 1gal/day or water, but I also like to drink milk cuz its an easy form of all 3 macro's/calories since im a straight up ectomorph and need a lot of cal's (from good foods of course). Any downsides to that? I've been downing a gallon of milk a day the past two weeks with no noticable negative affects.

  • I like water. But those who don't like drinking only water can add a little lemon, lime , or even a little bit of any juice just to add a little flavor.

  • While Elliot is talking about kicking sweet, sugary, expensive drinks from your diet, I'd like to add some input. Drinking just water is good and dandy but for someone who is used to drinking most of their calories, it can be devastating. If you can afford it, I'd recommend to replace some of the crappy drinks you ingest with Powerade Zero. It actually tastes pretty good, 0 calories, no sugar and a 32 oz. bottle of it at target is like 79 cents.

  • @DeadXManXsXStare I'm cutting weight and when I suddenly stopped so I assumed it was from Crystal Light lemonade I picked up at the market. I Googled Maltodextrin and found out it list of side affect so I tossed it out. Next week I dropped the 4-5 pounds I expected to lose the week before. There is always cheat days...

  • @jaylentaylor55 Actually eggs are good for you. When you cook them use Extra virgin olive oil. They're very high in protein.

  • @syn7hetic lol i noticed that too...come to NJ if you think eating healty is cheap ..ill show you different. i spend about $150 a week to $200 for me my wife and 1 year old. i eat very healthy. produce is expensivie, so is meat , fish, eggs etc.

  • @88blakers food selection......calorie deficit is more of a broscience thing......you can eat 5000 calories of clean food and not get fat aslong as its nothing but clean quality non processed food.....you can eat 2000 calories of junk and gain pounds and pounds of fat very fast.....Just the truth fellas.

  • sure but be realistic..i went to college...played sports...lived in dorm...never cooked a steak or prepared a salad lol..cans of tuna...mcds burgers no buns..taco bell chix soft tacos...grill chix sands..caf food..hard boiled eggs..turkey sandwichs etc etc..no kid in a dorm or apt is cooking like that...unless youre obsessed...hes fat thats too drastic a change to stick to for long.

  • @strengthcamp you have to crawl before you can walk. it's easier to get to "D" by going " A,B,C" first. sure a whole foods diet is ideal. but is it realistic for a kid who is eating cup o noodles and pizza right now? transition. what is he more likely to stick to. the old "live it" vs "die it" philosphy. what can he do day in and day out and stick to? not everyone is as dedicated as the next person. hes eating pure shit. lets try a little better shit first. then move on to flounder and broc.

  • @gamebred26 If it was easy to lose weight you'd never see any obese people. People these days expect a magic pill for fat loss or muscle gain. The formula is simple, most people just aren't motivated to do the work.

I use to eat 99 cent double cheese burgers at Mcdonalds because of college and being broke and a few things happened I felt drained/tired and less focused I got up to 300 lbs got acid refulx and a bunch of other crap. Now I can buy a weeks supplys of veggies and fruits for about 15-20 dollars a week! I now have more energy and am strating to see my six pack! Well 4 pack but you know where its leading too!

  • Hey Elliott, I am a fellow strength and health enthusiast trying to improve all facets of myself. Unfortunately I have always struggled with depression and have taken antidepressants for about 4 years now. Will this affect my mental capacity and organs over time? I don't really trust the answer of a doctor because it seems as if they want their patients to take drugs despite the side effects.

  • @Kaelan66 you should try going on a flax seed oil programme instead of anti depressantts (Udo's oil is great and can get in most phartmacys in europe anyway) Come off anti depressants they are fluoride based crap that reack havock with your body flax seed oil has been proven to help deal with depression when taken in high doses!

  • This is right on. At one point in my life I drank zero calories (only water) and it made a big difference towards my goal of loosing fat and saving money. Drinking your calories hits the wallet a lot harder then most realize. Eat single ingredient foods, lost of veggies and fruit, chunks of meat and anyone will see progress in the fight on fat.

  • @strengthcamp Well, i am not what you would call obese. I am about 20 lbs. overweight, than I would like to be. We are all a mix of somatotypes, but I'm predominantly endomorphic. Fat around the waist...predominantly. Do you happen to know what kind of symptoms should I be looking for ???
