  • I started with a few CD's but settled with Teach Yourself to PLay Blues Harmonica by Bobby Joe Holman with Dave Rubin. Each track plays twice and the notation is good to follow. 1st is with harmonica and 2nd without. Great short quick track at the end to play along with which I have a video of on youtube aswell. Want to do a new one of that. Other recommend is Mel Bay's Blues Harmonica Play Along Trax. School of the Blues Series. It has 15 tracks to play with. Ace. Good luck

  • On this it is a Hohner MS Blues harp in key of C. Also have a couple of Suzukis and a couple of Lee Oskars. I find because I am new I am used to the hohners as I have learnt mainly on those. Check out the newer version of this on my site to give you an idea of improvement. The play along CD is great as you don't notice the harmonica on the CD when you get it right!

  • Good job! Getting this program now. How long did it take you to get to that point?

  • Been learning for a year now. I can play that much better now. Sounds quite simple but got some good practise of note bending

  • how long after you started was the video?

  • Probably about 10 months. Should practise more though really.
