Amazing... I've done this game in at least 55 minutes, even less but I cannot recall the actual number if it was 47 minutes or 51 minutes. Either way... this is amazing, the moves that are pulled off are incredible. If I had that skill back then to do that now with the memory of where everything was I could probably do an even better time. My time was with 100%, as well, skipping no item or missile. Gotta get practicing!!! I use to race this game with a friend. Drove him nuts!

A TAS and a Speedrun is not the same thing. That's why they have a site called speeddemosarchive... "I must be using tools if I can beat this game in an hour as if you had used tools, you could beat it in 15 minutes."

Eh, I don't generally understand what you are talking about for one thing. Another, no game I know of has a time record in the GBWR and a TAS could easily go into one if they accepted games, which they do I believe. It wouldn't make any sense not to. A TAS still takes skill and time to do. There is no reason to make something invalid simply because it is impossible to do in real time.

sorry to say that, but "only slowdown" is a TAS ore: autofire (aimpumping for example) is TAS, too!

the scills are coming later, if you are GOOD at tasing! i´m the best german TASer! but my 1st was not much better than the king of realtime

Please man, think about what you are trying to tell me before you start typing. All you are telling me is you aren't good at TAS until you do it for long enough and you aren't as good or better than the best in real time when you first start. Do you really expect to be better than someone else on your first time in anything? Nobody knows something completely just by picking a controller up. Skills come later when you are good in real time, it is no different.

great job! curious if this is 100% w/o the use of tools? the jump at 6:06 is EXTREMELY difficult without some kind of slowdown... unless i've been doing something wrong :)

They're wall jumps. When doing a spin jump against a wall, press the direction opposite from the wall and then press jump.
