i'm about to leave guam in few months. it's cool that your looking out for your son. if he is in the navy he will most likely wind up on "big navy" base. let me know if this is the case and i will e-mail you or your son some good tips for a smooth transition move and the dos and don'ts so he has a heads up of what to expect when arriving.
We have some friends over in that housing area. We are in Harbor view and it's not to bad. I think anyone would kill to get into the absolute brand new housing. I've seen pictures of the inside and they are really, really nice.
ANYTHING is a step up from the old housing at Travis AFB though. Housing from like the 70s that's falling apart and infested with mice and snakes :)

I used to live in Guam (my dad was in the navy). It was FOREVER ago ...i do remember the hurricanes (or whatever they are called down there...typhoons?). We actually have video of one of them.

I used to live here, man i hated it !!! Guam is cool for a few weeks to visit and thats it !!! i was on the cable, i went UA !
