The atmosphere of those long pedal notes, Sarah twirling around, Bill's playing... let alone the songs, it all adds up to the best live concert video I've ever seen. I only heard about them in the mid-90s and I didn't miss an Astoria gig since my first one in 96 but this concert is as good as it ever got. Absolutely fan-fucking-tastic.

I saw Cardiacs opening for It Bites at the old Town and Country Club in about 1987. Scary, messy (squirty string, cream and confetti), weird, unsettling but tight as hell, memorable and wonderful.
