hey does anyone know who eventually killed Tom (James Cagne) in the end? After he got took from the hospital by either Burns or Paddy? I'm wondering because Tom had sex with Paddy's wife when he was drunk and Tom's brother said he received a call from Paddy's man.

Look, don't let anyone fool you with any superlatives about this flick, but for 1931, it's fairly well done, and you see a glimpse of what was to come with J.C. If you are a crime film fan, you have to see this and Little Ceaser as part of your educational foundation. That's just the way it is so you might as well get through it.

the end of the trailer reminds me of the opening to The Good, the Bad and the Ugly--the words are "shot" onto the screen

mgggggggg... it's so weird to see such and old trailer!!!! so so so weird to think that at that time it was an amazing trailer for an amazing movie.. if only they knew what they were going to do with special effect, explosions and all that stuff in the trailers and movies today they would be ashamed to say "amazing in its realism"!! xD and who knows how those things will evolve in the future.. even though it's hard to imagine how movies could be more realistic than how they are today,
