I did a meditation to see what my totem animal was and I think it's a stag

When I was meditating I saw a rabbit at a small brook. After observing it for a while I asked it if it was my spirit guide. It said nothing but walked/hooped away. I followed it to a small cave-like structure where I met a coyote. He is my spirit-guide. Ive had glimpses before but thought it was a wolf until I got closer I found out he was a coyote. Could the rabbit be one also?

im reading the way of the shaman and im trying to understand all about power animals and not so sure on how you can find a power animal in the shamanic state of consciousness. can someone message me with knowledge on the subject? a test said that i was protected by a bear because of my personality. I know when you do have a power animal you take aspects of their personality and they somehow become a part of you.

I don't know what my animal totem is but I love owls. I am in awe of them. They don't follow me or anything like that but I do love to hear them in the woods. I find them majestic. Also, being nocturnal by nature, maybe that's another reason I relate to them. Nature is splendid and we should respect it and all creatures who live within it. The Spirit/ God/ Force/Source of this wonder is well worthy to be honored , respected and revered.

I had my own strange encounter with an animal about a week ago.

I was fishing in Northern Thailand and catching nothing. I decided to investigate a spirit house that was about a 100 meters away. The spirit house is built to house river spirits,(Buddhist belief). To get to the spirit house I had walk across a small jetty. As I was walking across the jetty a bloody two meter King Cobra came out of the spirit house onto to the jetty rushing towards me. I took off in haste.

Yes it is absolutely possible, as predator doesnt have anything to do with your diet, but more with your character. It is true though that it is easier to communicate with your animal spirit if you don't have any particular diet. If it works for you then it doesn't matter!

Find a quiet place in Nature where you feel comfortable. Quiet the mind and call him/her/them.

Be aware of all that comes to you.

Write it down, or draw it .... all of it, you will be amazed at just what you remember.

If you have a drum, then a drumbeat of 4/4 helps to aid the mind/spirit connection. (180-200 bpm)

Some animals are with you for a moment, some for a while and some for life.

I would recommend getting the Kenneth Meadows book, Animal Speak, to help you on your quest.

A lot of people have different animal totems, and wolf is mostly one of them because it is the spiritual teacher, it teaches you how to become more aware of it all. Sometimes the wolf dissapears after a while and another takes its place.
