  • I grew up with the forest rangers. I feel sorry for todays generatiton. I lived the Forest Rangers kind of life. I had a lot of freedom growing up where we could disapeer for hours without people freaking out.

  • This is filmed in Kleinburg, Ontario, Canada!

  • you cant add links here...use logic and google "Forest Rangers tv show"

  • A website address would have helped. Did he say "Oasis Pictures"?

  • god bless nigel, Geoffrey, Ronnie, Albert and the rest of the boys. What a team we had. R.I.P!

  • Loved this show

  • Loved this show. What kind of helicopter did the Ranger fly? Looked like an Alouette with floats.

  • "Joe Two-Rivers forever"

Great memories from the 60s tv show

    Nottingham.

  • Yep, indeed, and that's aged you. I havent seen it for what? 40 years is it?

Played on ITV in the mornings, summer holidays along with Robinson Crusoe. (small village in the Notts area, same era)

  • A really great show for kids ! The weird thing was that whenever there was a stranger in the storyline, he or she turnede out to be EVIL and couldn't be trusted ! Another good show from back then was Hammy Hamster........explains alot about how I got be this way.... :)

  • Always confused this show with Adventures In Rainbow Country. Both great shows but Rainbow isn't released on DVD (yet).

  • Chub made me gay!

  • The Forest Rangers Fan site has moved to a new address. Check wikipedia to find the link to it.

  • I've seen this in Germany, it's a great serial!

  • B for Baker and C for Charlie as well!

  • There was never a B for Baker. It is XNY 556... A for Apple, B for Bob and C for Charlie.

  • Unfortunally until now the only releazed season one (in two parts!). Contacted the company and the have no plans to realeaze the rest! Bomber!

  • The child actors were not allowed to fly in the helicopter. They'd shoot a low angle shot of one of them sitting in the cockpit simulating take off or landing, but you'd never see them in the air.

  • The fan site has moved. Go to wikipedia's write-up on the show to get the new link..XNY 556 over and out!!

  • How come they look so darn young??? They weren't that young when I watched. :<

  • It is GREAT to see so many other people who remember, recall and reflect on this series. Can't forget Joe Two Rivers who could talk to the bear though.

  • season 2 will be released on dvd in 2009 so check the Forest Rangers fan site.

  • XMY556-A for apple, was another call-sign used on the show. My brother and I had a pair of "walkie-talkies" in the mid sixties and used both of those call signs - lots of fond memories!

  • Yeah, I used the XMY556-a for apple (come in George)... call sign myself. (gush)...

Does anybody know if you can buy DVDs of these? I love... I love!

  • I can't believe somebody else remembers that call sign too! This was my favourite show as a kid in Canada. I wanted to BE a forest ranger. Bless. I'm defo checking out the fan site. Cheers!

  • Xmy 556 b for Bob come in bob.

  • actually its xny 556

  • OMG, Forest Rangers, I haven't seen them since I was a snotty nosed kid in England. I'm a snotty nosed adult now (still in England) LOL. Someone, please put me out of my misery and put the entire episode one on YouTube. I would die to see it again. It was a great show and we don't see anything like this anymore.

  • another forest rangers reunion is now planned for june 2013..go to the fan site to get on the attendee list...

  • The Forest Rangers ... a Canadian classic ... Good kids and responsible, intelligent, caring adults .... What the hell has happened to TV? When you compare the values and ideas that are being put out there these days it makes you want to cry. I will never forget you ... Forest Rangers ....

  • To see the Forest Rangers fan site go to Google and type it in

  • My favorite was Joe two rivers who apparently was not a first nations gent but from Yugoslavia,he had natives coaching him. loved the show it had all the ingrediants that would appeal to a kid.

  • actually he was Ukrainian and got seperated from his family during WW2.

  • The guy who plays Mike Forbes is my lecturer. Nice guy.

  • You mean Peter Tully? He deserves better than to be referred to as "the guy who..."

He's part of a friggin' Canadian cultural phenomenon. And oh yes, Michael Zenon as

Joe Two Rivers was as cool as it gets.

  • Great stuff! My mates formed a soccer team in Annesley,Notts,Uk and called it "Forest Rangers",mainly on the strength of the series, where are they now?!!!!

  • good show, those were the days !!!! too bad they didnt shoot the whole series in MUSKOKA.

  • If Joe Two-Rivers was here he'd soon kick the crap out of you city slickers!!!

  • actually its XNY 556 a for apple and b for bob and c for charlie.

  • X M Y 5 5 6 - A for Apple (I think).

    Thi
