No Lie, me I personally like all the 3D Sonic Games (well except Sonic Riders 1 and 2, and anything of Sonic that doesn't have him being in a adventure game, same for Mario as well) but anyway being born in 1990 and owned and played the three Sonic games (with Knuckles) back in the Genesis days, I'm glad that they are doing this. Its like a SEGA version of New Super Mario Bros. Wii. Plus, I've heard that that added the homing attack for Sonic in this game which I think is cool.

His model is alright but he looks so out of place. The backgrounds just look ridiculous. If you're trying to be retro don't ruin it with a crappy model. Also, how did they ruin his running animation? Did they not see how bad it looked compared to Sonic 1, 2 and 3?

Dude. It's coming out in july. They still have a long way to go. They probably have JUST enough made to make this trailer. I'm sure that in the final version there will be better backgrounds, smoother animations, and so much more. Sega is finally doing something to please fans. They won't ruin it this time.

2D Sonic running around and jumping on robot enemies in colorful enviroments while collecting Chaos Emeralds in psychedelic bonus stages and then going straight to Robotnik is what Sonic should be and NOTHING ELSE. It's what made Sonic such a blast to play. So what if it doesn't have a compelling story. If it ain't broke, don't fix it!

I hope they add early 90's new jack swing/hip hop style BGM in the game like in the Genesis/MegaDrive era.

No it's not. The episodic nature is perfectly fine due to the fact that Sonic 4 is a direct sequel to the Genesis Sonic series. Besides, Sonic and Sonic and Knuckles was like two episodes of one game, which it was supposed to be, but due to some type of problem, Sega separated Sonic 3 into two parts, S&K being the conclusive episode. Same goes for Sonic 4. The game must be two big to put in one whole thing, . And this is only a 50-second trailer of what's to come. Don't judge the

my point is when all is said and done... we will probably be paying over $100 for this full game. probably over 5 "episodes" for $15 each, more playable characters (tails, knuckles, etc) for $10 each, some extra special levels for another $10...

when it all could easily fit on one disc. its simply greedy.

and from this 50 seconds i can CLEARLY see that the 3D render of sonic and the enemies look ridiculous against the (great looking) bit-rendered backgrounds.

May I remind you that you're using the word, "probably"? In what way would you actually know if they're gonna convert the episodes in one disc or not? Sega is doing it the way they want to do it. Besides, why waste $100 on a full sonic game when you buy each episode at a reasonable, small price? Also, may I also remind you that this is only a trailer that came out yesterday, and it's only like 50 seconds? Those 5 seconds of gameplay are most likely to be a beta version, hence the date:July 2010.
