I have the PST5 16'' thin Crash too. But I don't use it as a Crash. I also bougth a PST5 16'' Rock Crash and put them together as Hi-Hat. The thin on top and the rock on bottom. Absolutely Killer Sound Hi-Hat.
If you scoot that mic alittle further away from your kit it should sound alot better, it sounds like its clipping(too much sound going to it, overloading it).
@DylanLFS I've got it pretty much as far away as I can get it. It runs through our storage room, but I might be able to put it further in and just keep the door open. Thanks
@UTTERKAOS1994 I don't know what the problem would be, I get really good quality out of my rock band mic (you said you used one in another video also), Its probably only about a foot from my drumset. But I use FL Studio to record, and its really nice, you might wanna try it sometime.
@DylanLFS I think it was just the audio for this video because in my next drum cover the sound isn't like that and I recorded it right after this one. BTW I use Sony Vegas Pro 8.
@UTTERKAOS1994 Alright well if you ever have any questions about recording with fl studio or something ask me. It lets you EQ and compress and stuff. It'll really make a difference if you ever decide to use it. Cubase will also work well.
