I will admit that this year will be a rough one for the Sox.
However, having your team broadcasted on WGN, a station that has been standard on many cable networks for 20+ years, brought in more bandwagon fans than the Sox have ever gained since 2005.
Just like the Braves, the Cubs have gained a wider fan base due to wide exposure on Cable TV.
