@kyrpap1981 In Thessaloniki (Selunik) different communities lived together . Both Vlakhoi and Jews gave converts to Islam Valkhoi converts called themselves Moaminhei (believers) and Jews were called Dunme (dissenters). As far as I remember the tekke and madrasa founded by Moaminhei in Thessaloniki was long ago demolished and the community now lives in Eskisehir Turkey.

Thrakian Alexandropolos was once called Dede- Agakh, meaning Grandfather tree in Turkish on account of the ancient oak which stood in the middle of town. There is also large Armenian population there.
