Not related to an armadillo, no. Armadillos (Dasypodidae family) are from the Cingulata order, Xenarthra superorder, while Pangolins (Manidae family, correct me if I'm wrong!) are from the Pholidota order, higher group being Laurasiatheria.

From what I've last seen, Xenarthra is likely the "most primitive" group in the evolution of placentarians. Being a part of the Laurasiatheria clade, Pangolins are not really related to armadillos.
