  • good song badd company mr squire

  • I'll bite - what is "a lady with a tenor sax" supposed to mean? If a "sax" why a "tenor"? Women aren't tenors; we're altos or sopranos. Why is "[she] so bad"? Is it because "sax" sounds like "sex"? Is it because she's blowing something (that's the sax you perverts)? Or is it just a random title?

  • CARALHO

    ESTA FICOU LINDA D +

  • It's fucking perfect

  • ...and yet another great one.....Freddie & Billy (who'da thunk it?!)

  • my two favorite singers :D

    so happy i found this

  • so who's this lady with a tenor sax?

  • Awesome duo, wish they had done more together. Billy's a terrific singer and really sound great with Freddie.

  • Fun song, didn't Billy write and Freddie produce? Don't matter I love it either way.

  • Que canción mas marchosa! me gusta.

  • Good thing Freddie is non caloric and legal to listen to and watch. I am severely addicted. Never fails if I'm a bit down Freddie always picks me up. This track is I believe on the Rarities #3 cd

  • Where was this version found? I'd love to have it for my collection..any hints?

    Thanks...

  • One of my favorites! <3

  • Only Freddie singing in this song, in the original version 90% was sung by Billy

  • @ter50 Just thought I'd thow this in there. Billy is definately singing, harmony during chorus and other spots during verse, etc. Listen again.

  • pretty damn sweet duet..never knew of this tune..tooooo cool

  • What is the original like?

  • it is real close to this version!!! though I love love hearing rough cuts, Squier Rocks!!!!!

  • Classic Squier voice!!!!!!!!

  • look at all the clowns on page one.are you fair dinkum.two great voices back in day, and you two clowns are trying to say,j dean07 and alfeenonzo, that it could of been better.where in 2009 now people and that song goes alright today.

  • great song! Mercury is the best. Best Rock and Roller. Nicest voice !!

  • Fabulous vocals.

  • I was expecting a better song from two good singers.

  • 1986. Was 3rd single off "Enough Is Enough" Billy finished it in Freddie's studio overseas

  • If it had different lyrics, this would probably sound a bit better. I mean, i think the song has potential, but if it was cleaned up a bit it probably could have been allot better

  • This song is good but an odd, sometimes awkward, mix of two great talents. What was that part with Squire singing alone? Great stuff, but didn't quite fit. And call me crazy but what this song really needs is some lady playing say, I dunno, maybe a mad tenor sax solo-or a cowbell, whatever, either one.

  • This is as good as it gets on Enough is Enough

  • Lady with a tenor sax? A little strange. Sounds good, though. I was never aware until now that Freddie and Billy recorded together. Sounds very 80's...not as timeless as other things by Billy and Queen.

  • Great song; great singers...

  • Lots of great songs on this release!! "til it's over" "break the silence' "shot o love" "love is the hero" "Wink of an eye" thanks Billy!!!!

  • Who's the Top?

  • This working version of this track was included in the mammoth Freddie Mercury boxed set back in 2000.

  • Jojo - what box set? I have one with Barcelona, Mr. Bad Guy and Great Pretender.

  • The Freddie Mercury Collection - a 10 disc huge book/ boxed set. Quite a lavish release - features loads of great stuff on it. Try e-bay if you fancy one. That mini boxed set was just as a commercial option to this more extravagant monster of a release.

  • Enough Is Enough came out in 1983. It bombed commercially, peaking only at #63. This was the intended first single before it was decided just to release the Squier vocal. Audiences were still a bit surprised at this change of sound. I think Billy would have done better rocking harder instead of more commercially, but history cannot change.

  • 1986 actually

  • It was 1986...late in the year. Billy blamed the producer for the change in sound.

Although the songs are great it was too much of a "studio record" and yes...sadly...it did bomb...

  • when was this song recorded - was it before freddie got sick?

  • I was just listening to Billy's Reach for the Sky Anthology. The version on there doesn't have Freddie on vocals. It just lists him as helping with the arrangement.

Pity. This version is so cool.

  • Do you have the mp3 for this?

  • Damn I thought I have heard every Freddie/Queen song!! I love discovering new stuff!

  • @mdoelle LOL same with me I just heard it yesterday! ^_^

  • this song is on Enough is Enough put out in 86 or 87

  • Billy and Freddie were both first rate artists. I wonder why this track was not previously released by Billy or Freddie on one of his solo albums.

  • It's on one of Billy Squier's CDs. "Enough is Enough". Freddie is credited with last minute arrangements for this song & "Love is the Hero". Which Freddie also sang backing vocals.

  • Oops. I should say that the CD version of this song does NOT have Freddie singing along.

  • One more thing... the CD shows that Freddie and Billy wrote this song together. Okay. I'm done.
