The only other band that has progressed album to album almost reinventing their sound with each one is Pearl Jam...and like Pearl Jam, Thrice is plagued by the same idiots who say "we like your first albums but your new stuff sucks"

Oh well, that's my piece..Thrice is current era Pearl Jam..even tho pearl Jam is still very relevant..lol

Beggars totally replaced Vheissu as my all time fave Thrice CD.

Hands down one of the best CD's writen by thrice. They just keep getting better and better every release.

The album that made me love Thrice... Knew Thrice by the song Lullaby, but buying this album was a great fucking idea... need to buy the others now.

Beggars... one of the best albums from 09.

this album is great...took me a while to get over how a few of the songs resemble other bands tho. like track 1 sounding like a muse song, track 2 sounding like in rainbows...and even dustin saying one of the more famous radiohead quotes "dont leave me high and dry" in the same fucking song...in exile is outstanding tho...so are the songs that sound like other bands...just a bummer they had to bite styles...

"but i wont leave you high and dry" then "i wont leave you wondering why"...radiohead didnt creat that quote lol so you cant bring that up as a problem.plus it goes great with the song...as for track1 i will admit it does sound a little like muse..but better! lol

One more point my dear friends..Versions and the tropic rot are two impressives albums, and I know,these discs are from poison the well but there are parallels between the bands .. I love both...

i agree. What an amazing transformation. From identity crisis to beggars. I was a freshman in highschool when they came out and i feel like i have transformed with them. Ive been to the shows when they drop a new album and i cant help to feel like im part of what they are doing. So underated and misunderstood by critics. Whatever u have to say, theres no way ur right if its negative because Thrice has always been humble and made music for the right reasons. Respect to all fans

My goal is not to be negative, just so you know. I just tell it how it is. Thrice is talented no matter what kind of music they write... But DAMN they're good at writting punk. Track 8, looking through glass is my current favorite song, hands down. It's fast and melodic...

Everyone is entitled to their opinions, my comment targets "The old fans" not you new softies... I said I was content with the album, which means I am content with Thrice's evolution. I respect them, but I dont love the new stuff like I love the old. If you cant understand that... Too bad for you. Poison The Well is the same story as Thrice, They began more hardcore and thats what made them popular. Now... Poison the well is a has been. Writting half assed punk songs...

You right, they are so good at writting fast punk, why experiment with electronic-type music when Thrice is already established as a kick ass punk/metal band. There's a reason why "Artist In The Ambulance" was their most successful album... Im not a fan of their recent albums, but I am quite content with their new album. There's four fast paced songs, track 1,2,6 & 8. The rest is slow... Its not about being narrow minded, it's an opinion.

I agree with k4rma, Thrice's sound changes with every album and their material never is dull. I think that's why I love this band so much, they're so versatile and Dustin Kensrue's lyrics are amazing.
