@A1var3z360 Depends on what you want to do. You can do anything already with it not rooted. But with it rooted you can access a lot more then just the surface stuff. as far as your parents go, i dont know about that.

dude when you root an evo does that mean you can use tmobile on it instead of sprint

i believe t mobile uses HSDPA while Sprint uses CDMA, so they require different hardware to run on.

you can run it on verizon however. search on xda developers for a verizon PRL. download MSL reader from the market, write down the code it gives you. go to the dialer, type ##775#. when you type the last pound a password window will appear. enter the password you found in MSL reader. then click update PRL, point it to the verizon PRL, click ok then hit menu and click commit change

@umarrulez98 Impossible. The EVO is CDMA, while T-Mobile only supports GSM.

@mrAlfonzo1997 ok, there are a few updates for 2.1. so really it would depend on what update you have, after that, then you can go and find the right revoked, but really just do a true root because this can not be undone now. The new one.

I know and they JUST did a fix of the root, but you have to root OFFICIALLY not through this. If you guys want i can show you how.

@dickweedskate Only thing i can say is you have to wait, there is no wait to root the phone as of now. Not since it was updated, sprint/htc blocked it.

sorry for not replying. Well... When you install it you have to run it. If you restart the phone you have to redo it. Now if you updated it, then you can't root it anymore. not as of now. Plus, the CPU thing does not work. The kernal source was never released yet and once it is, then it will work.
