Syncopation is a key element within modern drum&bass but so is repetition(there is a balance).

I been listening to drum&bass since before it was called drum&bass or even jungle and i have seen all the twists and turns within the styles-i definitely aint a d&b layman, i appreciate some pendulum but there is more shite than pleasure, they have taken the slang term 'cheese' to a whole new level, and its quite embarrassing for the whole of the drum&bass genre(IMHO).
