WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYYYYY too fast! There is something in music as too fast, and this is definately a good example of that. At this speed the piece makes the listener think "will she be able to sing the rest of the aria at that speed?" instead of centering the attention on the text and the drama of it, shame on the caffeine full conductor.

This is a completely reasonable tempo in my opinion. Hell, if the singer could handle it, I might encourage it to be even a little bit faster.
