dont u guys understand? the cut was used to symbolise tonys death. the many POV shots in this scene show this. he looked up and, like before (when he saw the women, truck driver etc.) we see things from his perspective but he has been instanlty killed so we see nothing, bleakness, eternal death. chase has even been reported to have wantged there to be no credits on this episode ending to further empahisise tht idea. there was already no music unlike EVERY other episode

someone brought up an interesting point about the ending. apperently on the 1st ep of the last season, tony says something on a boat: that when you die.. it just turns black. nothing else.. you just see black. or something like that. does that spark some sort of coincidence or planned?

You're right, but it was Bobby Bacala who told Tony about seeing black when you die, in "Soprano Home Movies." I'm sure David Chase had that in mind when plotting the last scene... coincidence, I think not...

I've heard that idea a lot and I have to say it's one of the dumbest things I've ever heard. Do people honestly think that when you get shot in the head, you die instantly and the world goes black and quiet? You'd most likely hear the shot and you may lose sight quickly, but it would fade - not hit black.
