Ralph is one of my all-time heroes. I've interviewed him many times and he is as nice as he is talented. He gave me a print of Alice in Wonderland in a rowing boat and inscribed it with "For Carol, something to reflect upon."
I haven't seen him for a few years, but it's an honour to have known him.
Hahahaha... sorry but, who every says that isn't quiet in the reality of it. One doesn't have to be nice to be an artist, but a successful one~ partly yes, the other half is sometimes con-artist ;)
I agree that Ralph is one of the nicest, kindest, and most generous people I've had the pleasure to meet. I love to see how passionate and loyal his fans are. I am very fortunate to have many items signed by Ralph, including 2 First Edition, First Printing, Hardcover copies of "FEAR & LOATHING IN LAS VEGAS" (1971). Because I have 2 copies, I would be willing to sell one. If any of you would like to purchase one, email me at: j.fine@cox.net. Rock on, Ralph!
Thirty years ago we found his address and wrote to him asking for a drawing. We were in college at the U of M in Montana. He actually wrote us back and sent us a drawing. By far the nicest artist I know.
amazing! inspirational! that was awesome what he did on your hoodie. im an artist by the way and i'd love some feedback on my vids. it's me playing various covers and some originals
Sir- I dont know you, but you have my respect simply for having INCREDIBLE taste. Im exceptionally jealous, but congrats on meeting one of the greats....
realy cool that you had this chance (i realy dont even know this guy i just heard little stuff) but damn 36years a fan of him and then this meeting ;) .. cool :Prealycool! :P
i have only recently become a fan of ralph after reading fear and loathing in lv but he seems like a nice and interesting man...hope you had a good day meeting him it looks like it was a good time wish the good dr. was still alive i would have loved to meet him
My, what an honor, my love affair with him started as a young teenager when his cartoons
caught my eye, and then my molded my heart and soul into democratic thinking. Love the man. Thanks for posting a wonderful day you had. He's softspokenness made it difficult for me to understand some of the things he was saying.
Nice one. Having exchanged a few emails with the wine lover (and lover of the earth) genuine pure and genuine spirit that is Ralph, I am sure you had a great time.
I ADORE his art. Ok, just wondering. Does anybody know of the name of this certain piece of art of his? It's a drawing of a woman in a fur coat and.. it's obviously a hit on the killing of seals.. you know. Anybody know the one?
Just watched your wonderful video and thought it was a really great tribute to one of the best and finest of men! I am his youngest daughter and think it is amazing that he has fans like you!
Please could you tell me how I could go about buying an original copy of the "HST Rising High" picture? Also will there be any book of these great book signings in England? Thankyou for your time.

Great - thank-you.
Ralph grew up near me here, in north Wales - so it's nice to hear his speaking voice.
