  • Can't wait to ride on it for the first time, it's gonna be great!

  • thanks for unblocking me

  • Cedar Point = Best coaster park in the universe!!

  • Great America has almost an exact replica of this coaster still rideable to the public. Look up "Top Gun" or it's renewed name "Flight Deck."

  • @JohnSertified um its not really a replica at all.

The only replica of this is Monster at Walygator Parc in France.

Katun at Mirabilandia has a similar first half layout ..... although apart from that raptor is one of a kind in terms of its layout and replications.

  • @rollercoasterfan97 Flight deck is pretty close as far as the size of the drop, the loop, and corkscrews and turns. It was definitely inspired by this coaster.

  • @JohnSertified Um, Flight Deck was built in 1993 ...... Raptor was built in 1994, so therefore Flight Deck obviously wasnt inspired by Raptor.

The reason they have similarities is because they are both inverted roller coasters and manufactured by B&M. In terms of what is similar, Flight Deck is more like the Batman clones.

They are by no means a replica of each other ..... but obviously yes, there are similarities.

  • @rollercoasterfan97 I guess I shouldn't of used replica, as it is in the wrong context. Just getting the similarities point out there.

  • Back before Intamin coasters invaded, Raptor was the first thing you saw approching the park. Then B&M made Mantis. Then THEY were the first two coasters you saw as you approached. They were the first to hit in the morning. After that, super-long waits for the rest of the day.

  • This coaster still looks incredible to me, so sad that B&M just doesn't quite build them like this anymore

  • Help me out. Was this one of the first 'dangle feet' coasters?

  • @brownwoodron you mean inverted coasters,no.I believe(I could be wrong though) that the first batman coaster was the first inverted coaster :L

  • @AkaliWolf your right the first batman at Six Flags Great America was the first inverted to this style

  • ha ha sandusky ha ha ha

  • One of the first things I noticed in this video was Demon Drop in the background. Too bad it was moved. :P

  • OMG, this coaster looks very awesome! isn't it ?

  • CVW2112 I agree completely! This is my favourite ride at the park, and in my opinion is the best roller coaster I've ever been on :)

  • That is one if not the best coaster in the park IMO! I love how smooth it is and the helix of death at the end, the cobra roll is just a little rough but that coaster gets a 9 from me!!!! along with maverick they are both tied for 9!!!

  • The Pirate Ride :D

  • I forgot there was already a ride named Raptor before the Gardaland one, silly me! XD

  • Man, you were busy in 1996! How much more tape to go through have you got?
