    'Joy is converted

    To bitterest tears'

  • @atunaco wikipedia said that he only saw her twice. once at a party when she was 9 and a while after she was married, hence that painting with her and her bridesmaids. it doesn't sound right, because it would be hard to love someone by two sights, but it's wikipedia, wikipedia never lies :)

  • When Dante was just a child used to see every day a little beautifull girl just for a while during his way to school. One day she didn't appeared and he never see her again till the day of her wedding, when he saw her as an splendid bride. Not a long time before, she died as she was having a baby. Dante could see her for the last time as her body was being carried to the cementery. Then he wrote this poem.

  • I'm speechless.. I didn't know this fact... What an amazing way to honor Dante's platonic love!

  • Bello !

  • Breathtakingly beautiful. Gives me goosebumps.

  • É uma melodia muito suave, linda!

Obrigado por postar a letra original.

  • Gostei muito dessa ópera, lembra-me de momentos fantástico.

  • And thinking of her, Sweet sleep overcame me

I am your master, See your heart

    And of this burning heart

    Your heart

    (Chorus: She trembling)

    Obediently eats.

Weeping, I saw him then depart from me.

Joy is converted, To bitterest tears

I am in peace, My heart

I am in peace, See my heart
