i have autism myself and i love this show. max reminds me of who i am. i kinda act a little bit like him. parenthood is a great show.

I love Parenthood and Max does a great job playing a kid with Asperger's... My son was diagnosed with it in September after years of trying to get someone to listen and help.. they just kept saying ADHD.. but the meds didn't help and now at 22 years old he finally has a diagnosis. We have always suspected it... he had one doctor say he had most of the characteristics but not enough for a diagnosis when he was 12.Bad doctor.

@sophiejune i have aspergers or a mild form of autism. and max reminds me of me kinda. what an amazing actor i wonder if the actor who plays max acts like that in real life sometimes. so the question is do the roles the actors play rub off on the actors?

I really wish my parents had known about AS when I was a kid. I would probably have had a lot more help growing up and would be better off than I am now.

Great video again Alex. I love how starstruck Sarah Ramos was when you told her that you knew Augusten Burroughs and had lived with John Robison. I'm in the UK so I've not seen Parenthood, although I'll be searching YouTube for clips of the show now.
