  • what controler are you using and were did you buy the stuff for the rear steer

  • @forresto69

watch my other video about the radio setup. Axial sells a rear steer kit. Any servo will do. Make sure that the 3 channel radio you choose has "programable 3rd channel mixing". All 3 channel radios do not have this.

  • did u have to put in another servo to get rear wheel steering?

  • Yes I did. Easy to do. It sets up the exact same way as the front. Just buy the AX10 rear steer kit. It has all the links and hardware. Several different ways to hook the servo up though. Y-harness is easy but you will have full time 4 wheel steering. Some better radios have different configs for the 3rd channel to allow. 4 wheel, front w/rear centered, crab walk and others.

  • wow thanks, thats really cool

  • @JoeNitroStar o this answers my qeustion. i think i want 4 wheel steering with just a 2 channle radio. would you recomend that? the full time 4 wheel. cuz i allready have a 2.4ghz radio for my crawler and i dont want to get a new one.

how to you like the 4 wheel wile crawling

  • @staticxmako

4wheel steer is awesome, but it's great to be able to turn it off when going faster than crawling speed. For now, it's great! You'll need a servo Y adapter for your setup. Good luck!

  • will any servo fit Axial Servo Plate AX10 Scorpion ?

  • Pretty much any standard size servo will fit. Get a metal geared servo for around $50 if on budget. Hitec makes the best deals on cheaper metal geared servos.

  • really nice crawling and what is the first song?

  • im ordering one of these this Christmas, what kindof motors and radios should we be using? we have some motors and stuff from when we used to race electric RC cars, and i have an E-Maxx controller... the ones we used for racing were some old ones but they were good, do the radios have to have a lot of buttons to control stuff or can i just drive the truck around with any radio?

  • If you are getting the kit, then any 540 motor (preferably around 27 turns but doesn't have to be), 2 channel radio, and servos will work. You will definitely want reverse! 4 wheel steering is achieved with (preferably) a 3 channel radio or (least prefered) a y-harness and an extra servo. BUT, you DO NOT have to have 4 wheel steering like these. They are great with 2 wheel steering! I know how you feel by using the old stuff. I still do! lol

  • what servo will fit them????

  • Any regular servo. Try to get a metal geared servo from Hitec, Futaba, Airtronics, and many other brands.

  • what motor are u running

  • We had brushless motors then (fast ones geared way down & turned down on radio). I have a brushed motor with a Mamba Max in mine now.

  • hey man great vid where did u get the 4 wheel steering unit itself and how much was it?

  • I just ordered the front steering parts for it. Now Axial sells a rear steering kit for it. I think a few other companies make one also.

  • i dont exactly like those though because it doesnt steer like a real truck or vehicle

  • The green & black one can cut the rear steer off with the click of a button on the radio (super cool). I'm going to get another radio for mine so I will be able to do the same thing. You have to have a radio that you can assign a button to turn off the mixing of the auxilary channel.

  • is the axial rtr any good?

  • the RTR version is ok for rock racing, but for true crawling, i would recommend the kit because of its locked differentials, aluminum upgrades, and slipper-free transmission.

  • ya iw ant kit but it doesnt come ready to run and will cost like 300 more than rtr..what about ARTR

  • I just got to work on a RTR scorpion this weekend (well, all I done was cleaned up the wiring where someone installed another motor & reciever) and thought the RTR is WELL worth the money to start out with. IF you are not competing or have any other RC equipment to install in the kit version, then the RTR is the only choice for a tight budget. For competition, the kit version still needs a few parts here & there anyway.

  • great job!

  • how did you put on the 4 wheel steering?

did you use a y-harness to connect the servos?

  • Hello there, read the first reply of the comments (page 2 as of now). Explaned pretty well. You Can use a y-harness, you will not have the precise adjustments for each servo. You will have to make them with the rod links.

  • nice vid. im saving up for an axial ax10 and am almost there. what kind of motors are you running?

  • We are both running 7.5 & 8.5 Novak brushless motors because we already had them when we bought the Axial AX 10's. I want to get some cheaper waterproof ESC's later on.

  • Is that a cylinder head on the ground?

  • ive got an axial and im buying a high torque steering servo tomorrow. 333 ounces of torque what steering servo r u running?????

  • I already had a Futaba 9452 digital. Speed: .11 sec/60° @ 6V Torque: 127.8 oz-in @ 6V

I had used it in my 2WD buggy, but have sold it.

  • For rear steering I used another that I already had. A JR Z590M metal gear servo. I don't compete, so I set up 4 wheel steering and it works GREAT for playing and having fun.

  • 1:38 - 1:56 Erm...there is a cylinder head. What the hell. Nice video, though.

  • Ha! Ha! That wound up on my land from the trailer park next to it!

  • Nice movie.

  • what motors are you guys running?

  • Red one has an LRP Sphere ESC & a Novak Velociti 7.5 in it. Green and black has an old Novak SS 5800 system in it. They are both turned down to about 50% with the transmitter. We already had these systems. That is why we used them.

  • what kind of run time do you get on one pac?

  • We are using OLD 3000 and 2400 Sub-C pacs and we get between 45 minutes to 1 hour of run time.

  • were do i get one of those and would u recomend the 4x4 hummer on tracks/tires from radioshack

  • If you do not have any of this equipment already or don't know much about this stuff, then the best 4x4 "ready to run" kit out there in my opinion is the "HPI Wheely King". Search for some videos on Youtube. HPI is the brand name and Wheely King is the name of the truck. You can buy them at Tower Hobbies, Stormer Hobbies, or any quality RC store. Do NOT get a radio shack brand. You can buy every little part on the Wheely King or any Hobby grade RC car for just a little money. HAVE FUN!!!

  • hi i am pretty sure you know this because you sound smart and know alot about crawlers,i have only been into them for about 2 1/2 months so i heard with a 55t double you get like 2hrs of run time. is that true?

  • Depends on your battery, but I would say it is easy to get 1 hour or more with a 1500 mah battery & a 55 turn. I'm getting 1hour & 10 minutes with old 3000 mah batts that have about 1600 mah in them.

  • cool thankyuo =))

  • i plan on getting one of these, what setup did u use for crab steer? i know to use rear servo with a y splitter for reg. 4ws but a radio with just a third channel wouldnt center the rear wheels? let me know.

  • I do not use a Y splitter. We use a Futaba Magnum 3PM-FS 3 channel radio so we can turn the rear "mix" off & on (centers rear steering) with one button push and we have the "Aux channel Rev/Norm" screen pulled up so 1 button push enables the crab walk (just reverses the rear servo). Works just like the "Clod Punk Steer Computer" without needing it. It is a blast!
