its not really down to the fox having the last laugh, it more has to do with entering more than one dog, when you have a couple of dogs baying at a fox they use alot of oxygen, and if one is sutck then it may suffocate. a friend of a friend popped two to an earth a while back and because of it lost his best terrier. a fox shouldnt really be able to boss a terrier at any point.
