my show choir group (Martinsburg High Good Times) performed this as our ballad this year & we did an amazing job & got a superior rating at states. We were also about 4 years ago one of the first schools to do it & we won states.
I beg to differ. Dancing, music, painting, any fine art is an evaluation of human expression. Evaluation does not mean competition. The way competition has entered the realm of fine arts severely limits the paths of creating something "new" or different," as we chase the "level" of perfection in a single area, we let go of the real direction of expression which is not recitation, but innovation.
btw im not saying i think Studio is better im jus saying that Totino and Studio perform on a very high level i really enjoy watching Totino's shows every year.
seriously...all of you ripping on them; i'd like to see you do better. my show choir has competed against totino and they kick ass. They are pretty "show choir famous."
The coregrapher that coreographed their show choir did our showchoir did this exsact song last year... so yea its cool to hear a song that we did i know we did king of the road also!
You do know that you are comparing a high school to a University? One that is known for their amazing choir and is extremely difficult to get into? This is Totino-Grace, located in Fridley, MN. We're nothing huge, but we sure are damn special.
Thanks for the compliment of comparing us to a world known university show choir though. Shows that we got talent.
very good performance, and it's definitely a risky choice (something i always appreciate), but my biggest complaint with this selection would be a lack fo soul, if you will.
the performers sing and move cleanly, but not quite with the amount of energy and level of confidence it would take to pull this off.
wooah!!! now thats what i call performance!!! congrats for this group coz they wer so good!!! i hope we(our group) could also perform that song.. from myself.. hehehehe..
I honestly think that this song is best presented in a solo performance. I also think that they best vocalists to sing this song is either Tamyra Gray or Frenchie Dy...just my opinion...
This is a GREAT song and GREAT ballad! But I think this song sounds a lot better in person or maybe this just wasn't the best performance? Just my opinion.
The more I hear it the more I really actually dont like the vocals on the song but what I do like is the performance. Hate the vocals, but love the performance because its being sung in a way that shows how meaningful, spirtual, and hopeful the song is. All of the performers are SOOO into the song, especially the guys. Great passion!
que trabalho coral deslumbrante... estou impressionado e digo que é maravilhoso...

They are performing in a totally weird manner considering the emotion/power message of the song. I understand its a concert choir, but damn.

This was such a fun set to play. In my opinion at least. I don't know if the other band members would agree 100%...

Nice vocals, but not a fan of hearing my girls song sung like this. But on the other hand, it was nice to hear a choir do it!
