Honestly I can't see Whitney developing a dedicated fan base like community. I think NBC should be surprised that community has done so well while up against another popular comedy that is on at the same time, NBC has not done anything to help the show out. It's lead in is Access Holllywood which does not bring in any viewers. If they gave it the Office as a lead in from the beginning I don't think the show would have been benched.

Community is a great show. There is some truth where the writing isn't as strong this season. Some of the side stories are pretty boring. When I rewatch an episode on Hulu I generally skip over those parts. Example: Chang wanting to become a detective. I think Up All Night is a lot worse than Whitney. Unless you've had a kid I don't know how people could find Up All Night funny.

@MimmbleMimmble I was extremely bored today, so I watched a few episodes from the third season on hulu. I really liked the one with the six possible timelines. It was written extremely well and was ceaselessly interesting. The one about the biology project I didn't like at all, and neither the one about the ghost stories or the gay party. I just found it terribly difficult to like or even care about any of the characters, Troy and Abed being the very mild exception.

Because of this video, I just checked out the trailer for Community for the first time (yes I know I'm late on the bandwagon, but I think I'm jumping on;)

Another show that I really hope does not get canceled is ABC's Pan Am. It's fun, has great 1960's fashion, worldwide travel, interesting characters & touches upon social issues... luv it!

Oh yes, and I agree about Firefly... I think it should have gone on at least a season longer to wrap things up rather than investing in that movie!

i dont like whitney, but i like the laugh track. Community is funny i love it. the office is ok, i liked the uk version better. but i dont really like that style of show. it works for the office though.

maybe its becuase im older, but i like the classic family or buddy situation comedy sitcoms. with and without laughtracks. I'm glad to see theyre bringing comedys back. I really hate reality shows. Dont really watch any of them.

I'm not sure about now, but last time i checked (when i read an article on it a year ago) they didnt go by tivo/dvrs recordings and online views.

I actually prefer Season 1 and 3. I think Season 2 was so different then 1 and 3 has been. "Season 2 is great the fourth time you watch it, but Season 1 is the best the 6th time you watch it, Season 3 is better than Season 2 the third time you watch it"
