From everything I've seen up to this point, the best Asian/Oriental striking arts in the ring belong, from strongest to weakest, in this order: San Shao/Sanda, Muay Thai, Kyokushin Karate. San Shao guys regularly work Muay Thai guys. And Muay Thai guys regularly work Kyokushin guys. This is the first I've seen or heard of Myanmar Lethwei but it looks very similar to Muay Thai and I'm guessing it's about the same in terms of strength ranking.

The Japanese karateka was totally creamed by the Burmese kick boxer because he is unfamiliar with the Burmese kick boxing, especially, the knee attacks. Japanese karate and Korean fighting arts are derived from Chinese Kung Fu which don't use the knees as the Burmese and Thai's. The Japanese guy just don't know how to deal with the knee strikes.

The lesson is - Don't be proud, swell headed and think that whatever one had learned is superior to all other martial arts in the world.

Where did I said I hate others? I respect all types of martial arts and I am a fun of all of them.I have seen a lot of matches between Myanmar fighters and other disciplines and most of the time, Myanmar lethwei won. They have fought both K1 and Mway Thai disciplines and won at least 7 out 10. Thats why I gave that comment. And you know what, Buakaw will never fight a Myanmar fighter, he knows his career will be ruined if he loses and he also knows he has little chance to beat a Myanmar Champ.
