The guitar is pretty cool. But besides that, everything he is playing is pretty simple if you actually watch. I'd be more impressed if he was doing some serious solo type plucking. But all he is doing is playing the same 3 strings over and over again.. Then switching. Nothing you can't do on a 6 string. Still awesome that there is so much more variety with this guitar though.

@JIMISTRINGS First off... I've made my own guitar (not just assembled from pieces), making a guitar with the correct understanding of the mathematics behind musical instruments isn't hard. It's not impossible aside from the fact he has the extra strings which obviously give him greater range. His amp is highly amplified to allow him to play hammer ons on an acoustic (which would usually die very quickly), he's got a bit of reverb and delay adding to the ambience.

Yes there are effects.. what are you trying to say..eddie didn't use a effects?? it takes a huge ammount of skill to set up the guitar, set up the amp, and set up your effects to all work as well as his do. and then learning how to "play your amp" is another very difficlult skill too. not to mention the tapping he was doing took a tremendous ammount of hand strength.
