it work's ,all I do was just to put an empty dvd disc go to burning room than recorder, burn image, chose the game that you want to burn than click burn and that's all but notice this the ps2 don't read the "fake" dvd that we burn you must have the chip in ps2 or swap magic without these 2 the game doesn't work :)

when u have your game in .rar its commpressed files u have to click on "extract here" and it will do so you'll get a new icon with the same name but it should most likely end in .ISO thats when u burn it with nero

u got to modify ur ps2 go to a ps2 shop or somewhere and ask the shopkeeper to modify the ps2 for you

I got a problem.I have a moded PS2 and I got Alcohol trial version and I bought some SONY DVD-R 16X CDs and tried to burn a game but it didnt work. Then I found some old PHILLIPS DVD+R 8X CDs and I tried it and it worked! But I only had 6 CDS then I tried and tried using the other ones but it doesent work WHY!!!???

Hi i've never burned ps2 dvds before so I wanted to know if this is all I need. An image of the game (doesen't matter it is uncompressed or .rar) and than burn the image with nero. I'm asking because I've fount a lot of confusing info on the internet ragarding several programs you need to write it and make it work (dvd decrypter, alcohol etc.)

All you need is the .Iso.

The only thing that may be a problem is the region. Is you are in the US you need NTSC and in the UK you need PAL.

Than you burn and done.

Appart from the region do what i did in the video and u will be fine

What u must do burn your (iso file to DVD-R) NOT TO DVD+RW because it won't work with DVD+RW

also your ps2 must be chip.

To do a successful burn i strongly suggest .iso. Its much harder to burn loose files. Thats where problems happen.

The DVD/cd thing sounds like a recorder issue. i ain't sure how to help

There are 2 types of disc played in the Ps2.

DVD - 4.7gb

CD - 700mb

You said your using a CD, if the game is over 700mb then there is your problem because most ps2 games are way over 700mb.

See what it says on the disc DVD or CD?

You need DVD

I don't think you can, because Playstation would prevent any loops that would loose them money. So very unlikely that you can play the games on a Ps3. However you can mod it and it then should work. But honestly i would avoid any modding in the time being

Tbh i don't think i have ever had a "bad" burn, the only bad burn is when i burned an NTSC game (i need PAL) therefore i had it in b/w. The only thing that could be wrong is maybe you forget to do the Swap Magic swap, or you got dodgy game files, what's your source? (Message Me)

If you are using Swap Magic to play the games, you need the CD Disc

Not sure why that may happen, maybe you have a dodgy game ISO, or the disc was scratched, in burning or otherwise.

Because the Sony doesn't want to make it easy for you to make copies of game, as they would make little money.

The console has a protection system it so it only plays the games made specially.

The Mod or Swap Magic bypass it and tricks the console into thinking your playing an official game but in fact, your playing a copy

Yes, you need to use Swap Magic or a Modifaction Chip inside you PS2, i would suggest the Swap Magic, but you need either one to play self burned games
