Could you tell me the differences between german and baroque english fingering? Is it just the b and b flats?

there is a difference of recorders too.a german recorder maker came to eng, then went bk, but he based his recorder fingering on the penny-whistle so he had to change various finger-hole sizes n add another lil' hole to get the tuning. but the tuning is off on bb tho F is about right - from what I've been told.All I know for bb on a normal recorder oft depends on taste ( tis best with: thumb, 1,3,4,6, fingers covered but you can get away with thumb,1,3,4, or the trick one - thumb, 2,3,4....)
