@jhabhari Well, actually the first movie of the saga is based on a real situation: Chuck Wepner VS Muhammad Ali, a fight in which Wepner was an unknown boxer who was given the opportunity to fight against Ali.

And, at the beginning Rocky is not a good boxer, he only resists a lot and has heart, but he is bad on defense and many other things such as the feet movements.

Sincerely, it's seems like you've only seen the last Rocky's movie. Now in that one he IS already a good boxer, just older.
