  • Oh so now he's a Karate fighter now huh. So you've changed your mind about him. Racist tool.

  • @hazza3 There was no TKD fighter on 1993 just only exhitbitors cos Karate use their hand 90%.TKD use their feet 90%. Sorry to tell the truth. That can educate you to be a Muaythai teacher.Wahahahahahahaha.................

  • Muay Thai the best

  • DONT BLAME Taekwondo itself -.-´

the muay thai uses almost the same kicks

    he´s just better

it doesnt depend on the martial art, it depends on the fighter himself ^^

  • i doubt whether he is the real blackbelt ==

  • his kicks are slow, technique was a little off. im sure after this fight he has learned something and can work on his speed and techniques.

  • que paliza que le dio xd

  • No gloves or nothin!!! Haha man i love this shit. Thai low kick is effictive baby its won many a fight.

  • @bbsport Strongly agree.

  • i love Muay Thai :x

  • wtf the tae kwon do guys foot work is garbage and his kicks are yellow belt at best

  • fuck taekwondo

  • It might be true that Muay Thai's kick is the most powerful kick.

  • @cuvet51 Is much less powerful, but much more practical. Capoeira kicks are much stronger.

  • @AlexLococo Eventhough I know many types of martial arts, never heard capo before. Sounds good.

  • @cuvet51 Yeah, has the strongest kicks ever, but are harder to be accurate. Then there is french boxing, which has perfect accuracy, but harder to master. TKD and karate kicks are somewhat right next to capoeira in power, but still are very inaccurate. Muay thai kicks (kickboxing in general) are somewhat weaker, but are easier to master and a thousand times easier to perform one correctly with a greater chance of hitting the opponent. It's all a trade of power, accuracy and practicity.

  • @cuvet51 no man, cricket players have the strongest kicks! u dont fuck with cricket players!

  • @CaKe4L1fe That's good point.

  • @cuvet51 :)))))))

  • taekwondo is the worst fishting style ever anyways smh.

  • wtf fuck this i the wrost taekwondo fighter in the world !

  • Pfff this guy has not even a black belt

  • the wrost tkd fighter ever

  • 5 5+ เทควันโด้สายดำ โดนเตะซ่ะเสียเลย

  • @TeeTonkhaw แอบชมลูกเตะมวยไทยนิดเดียว พวกมาค้านตรึม เฮ่อ....

  • well that was interesting

  • The fight looked pretty good in my eyes, I disagree with a no punches to the face rule as it soften both arts immensely....but for what it was, it was decent enough.

  • WTF? Taekwondo is not that bad, that guy is just doing many slow middle kicks, the muay thati fighter could easiely grab his legs, i think that guy needed more enthusiam

  • no hook kicks... no spinning hook kicks to the HEAD ? the man attacked just his opponent's strong spots ? wth ?

  • Comment removed

  • He's not even ITF, he's ATU from Japan. Anyway, it was a good Seidokan fight. Changpuek has some solid kicks but Ushikoshi has strong arms being able to take his kicks so well. But damn, Ushikoshi CANNOT kick.

  • @hazza3 maybe its just because tkd sucks! looool

  • @illyas1 Not funny

  • @harrytheman1000 but true.now muay thai.they atually know the meaning of defense and offence

  • @hazza3 Shin was a Karate practitioner that why his arms is so strong. There was no TKD fighter go to the ring cozTKD master love to jumping like a muppet on the floor to show off like a cartoon .They don't know how to fight on the ring.Believed it or not.Wahaha

  • All TKD are imitation of Karate. In 1940-1955, TKD was dead copy of Karate. And general Choi had weaken gradually to the present TKD form to camouflage the copying.

So, it must be true there exist very few strong TKD fighter.

  • @Hawaii0407 I have to disagree with you kind sir. Although they may have similar moves Karate is more mixed with full-body striking with Taekwondo is more empathized on striking with the leg... Such as Bokator and Muai Thai they both come from different countries that are close together, but that doesn't mean they directly copy each-other, but mimic the bases of each style

  • @TheRepublicPanda Hmm. You don't know TKD history at all. Read this study before talking your conjecture to me. "The Evolution of Taekwondo from Japanese Karate by Eric Madis" Moreover, do you really know Karate? We can't make sure which Karate did General Choi copy after 1955, but there WAS similar style of Karate in 1945 in Japan.

    Shorinji-ryu Kenkokan Karate, watch?v=7Ek8h5U_zYo

    Shorinji-ryu Karate, watch?v=KJjKKhNNWuo,watch?v=BHPuVTiEZ5U

(GMaster Masayoshi Kori Hisataka founded dojo in 1945)

  • @Hawaii0407 Oh no don't get me wrong sir, All I'm saying is TKD and Karate are very similar, but they empathize on different things and are similar, but don't directly copy the teachings... and yes I have not researched Karate prior to contradicting you, but I have study Karate for only two years (stopped at purple belt) and am now enrolling in TKD classes

  • I believe that Tae Kwon Do is exactly like everything else that gets imported to America, as it became as cheap as possible to make the absolute most profits.

REAL Tae Kwon Do DID exist in quantities throughout the 50's 60's and 70's. It exists now, only in smalllllllllllll numbers. I can attest to it

  • this is not itf is wtf

  • Nah the TKD guy didn't know how to punch. He prolly was a WTF guy, all ITF TKD fighters punch as well as kick and block.

  • this just shows how unpractical TKD stance is

  • Tkd guy poo his pants hur hur hur.

  • lol he destroyed the karate dude.

  • @country154boy it's not karate Mcgayier . i mean macgyver.

  • anyone know the name of this muay thai fighter

  • @Stabwound124 This is K-1 Illusion 1993 Karate World Cup (Oct.2,1993). MT:Changpuek Kiatsongrit/172-175cm/74-75kg, TKD:Shin Ushikoshi/175cm/75kg.

    proof:

    ( watch?v=ny9-ILXEtpI ) K-1 GRAND PRIX'93 (Apr.30,1993) - 74.3Kg

Wiki note that Changpuek K-2 Grand Prix'93 (Dec.19,1993) - 75kg, and that Changpuek was always '-79Kg class' in 1993

  • Korean suck!

  • Korean is Trash !!

  • was it the end of the round or did the ref employ the slaughter rule to save the TKD dude's life?

  • Comment removed

  • lol

  • MT >= OtherMA >>>>> BananaTree > TKD

    XD

  • yes, i kick banana trees, how about you?

    uhm... pads

  • kkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk muito gay o TKD é faixa vermelha vc que o que em? se fosse preta esse tailandes ia ver o que o caminho da mao de do pé na cara dele

  • Oo0o0o0o0o0o0o0o0orararaaaallleeeeeeeeee..... superr... ; p

  • But his gut is so venerable

  • I'm a 2nd degree black belt in TKD and I saw so many openings than he could have used but instead he did a whip kick to the ribs where he was being grabbed onto. How I would have done it is go to the gut and do more punches because his hands are guarding his face but he's so venerable.

  • @Crandomstuff The TKD fighter's kick doesn't seem to carry much strength or power. I love TKD and myself practiced it a long time. My biggest critique of sport TKD is that the rules prevent TKD practitioners from truly harnessing power in the kicks. It has become a sport of just tag with the foot and sport TKD has strayed away from the real art of fighting.

  • @wbk360

    I agreeeeee!!!!!!

  • So many kicks in TKD arsenal, but he seems to want to attack with sidekick, and back kick, which are both better for countering. TKD is in my opinion, the foot version of Wing Chun. You need to overwhelm your opponent with speed and volume of attacks. TKD techniques, thrown one kick at a time, just isn't powerful enough to overcome a Muay Thai fighter.

  • @supergnc

Thats an interesting way of looking at it. It makes sense to me

  • KKKKKKKK isso porque o cara do moay tay era fraco se fosse um casca crossa ele tinha quebrado esse china logo nas primeira gracinha dele ele luta manjado so chutes entao era so mandar um bem dado ja era a luta dele

  • ...that was hard to watch...

  • Problems ???

  • Dang!

  • Fucking racists!!

  • This is ITF: which is NORTH KOREAN Taekwondo. Do not confuse.

  • @measio90

just admit your defeat ok, I don't like people making stupid excuses.

  • tkd is just a speed without power and accuracy.., mauy thai is a combination of both plus accuracy and all other martial arts..,hahahha that sick korean got raped!!

  • @Khanta44 fucking racist!

  • @666TheJammo fucking korean copy muay thai

  • @666TheJammo แล้วเมิงจะทามไมไอ่สัสส ด่ากูหรอ

  • dam those shin kicks would cut him in half

  • THIS is FkIN PISSING ME OFF!!!! TKD !!! get you ACT together!

  • I'm sorry for the TKD guy. That's in a fight without punches to the face, imagine with thay rules...

  • yeah baby TKDthats guy suck noob

  • 還後踢~笨!

  • There are some Idiots in this Video Clip that claim Muay Thai is "just a sport"

but Taekwondo is a so-called "self defence" martial art.

There are evidences that prove otherwise.

The current best reality combat techniques in the world is "Krav maga"

    (Isarael military combat technique).

go to Wikipedia, type Krav Maga techniques.

Muay Thai is in the list of Krav maga because it took Knees, Elbows, and low kick from Muay Thai.

Frankly TKD is not even on the list T_T.

  • TAEKWON-DO SUCK

  • @WadePlaysPool Isn't that like discrediting mma by saying "Sorry, but in real life people are going to call their friends for support or bite you or eye gouge you"? Don't be a moron, kid, okay? There's rules and you should follow them. I'm sure you're a good kid, but you gotta get this through you fuckin skull, okay freckles?

  • sin codos, rodillas y clich? Se la pusieron facil a TKD pero ni así.. no es menosprecio al TKD, si no que peleador es muy malo

  • @WadePlaysPool not if the kick is fast enough and/or they don't see it comming

  • @aussiery it's about the fighter choose the best style to train.

  • he is too slow for taekwon-do kicks nahh :S

  • at the biginning this guy knows he is going to loose bu and still try to be hardcore at the same time...

  • I love these people that say 'it's the fighter that wins the fight not the art.' What a load of crap. If you get in a ring, and you have no ground fighting techniques, you will LOSE regardless of being a 1st dan, or a 9th dan. Different systems are more effective than others, doesn't matter how good you are. If all systems were effective, nobody would adapt different forms and styles to be more effective. They'd be one branch of aikido, and karate, and tkd and so on.

  • @KurtCobain198666 I love the wise people who choose the most practicals and effectives style to train at the beginning.this vid was a history on 1993.Muay thai vs Tae Kwon Do.officially in Japan. After this event Japanese promoter estabished K-1 tournament which Muay thai still the best style to train.oh you'd see " Chanpuek vs Rick Roufus "

  • @KurtCobain198666 To an extent. However some people have fighting in their blood (killer instinct or whatever you may call it) and they will beat somebody of equal skill 9 times out of 10. Some people are black belts but they can't stand taking physical punishment for instance.

  • @thetomminator Thats tolerance to pain not "killer instinct"..and people who train...train tolerance.

  • @SuperCubanTube I know what your'e saying but that was just one example, and some people have the ability to take punishment and not get knocked out whether they have trained tolerance or not. Some people have an innate ability to understand something and have a knack for it, wether it is mathematics, working on engines, or fighting.

  • @thetomminator If you fully understand that pain is all in the mind you can overcome anything..even a side-kick to the jaw haha (:

  • They fight like 2 gay guys. Horrible display of martial arts

  • dude i always see those kind of gloves WHERE DO YOU GET THEM

  • TKD sucks? anyone wanna fight me? ill prove you otherwise

  • Powerful

  • LOL TKD sucks!

  • You guys are idiots. Yes, That was a pretty poor example of BOTH martial arts. The itf guy used only kicks, with poor accuracy, but that didn't mean taekwondo is useless! You cannot compare martial arts. It all depends on the mind set of the fighter, physical training he/she does on her OWN, and other little things of the like. As for the other fighter, he left his stomach wide open, and for a person who can kick like a mule that is just what they need. His hands were also blocking his vision

  • Bro... this what happend if you join taekwondo that does not teach you close range and hands. This happens in real life, No rules

  • Fuck that tkd suck ass ...with anystyle tkd get ass raped.

  • 操你妈

  • kick: kickboxing=karate>TKD>judo=boxing

    punch:boxing=karate>kickboxing>TKD=judo

    full contact:wrestling=judo>boxing=karate>TKD=kickboxing

    (in my opinion)

  • this vid no clear ermm sad:)

  • the TKD guy sucked. Just sayin in my point of view.

  • @R2Gsavior eh i think since his legs got fucked up from some low kicks,he couldnt do his fancy spinning kicks :p

  • No TKD isn't usless, but nearly.the training for Muay Thai is geared totally towards full contact combat utlising the '8-weapons', there are no knife hands, no spear tip, no poomse, no distractions from anything other than training for a blistering, knock out win. WTF Tae kwon is hampered (in my opinion) by its ridiculous non punching emphasis and hence against most contact styles WILL lose. ITF fighters on the other hand do train 'boxing style' and will put up a better defence,

  • CHINGA TU MADRE TAE KWON DOOO!!!

  • the tkd guy is'nt used to use his fists, and no power.

  • TKD guy was kind of dumb

  • @Mapnapkin This match was fought in 1993 in the K-1 Illusion Karate world cup under seidokaikan rules.

umm this guy is a pro,at that time he was the best TKD had to offer, or at least 1 of the best. its hard to kick fast when against muay thai, because all the low kicks are blocked by raising leg so knee is at the same level as your hips, and all high kicks offer a chance to take you down.all Tkd always suck when fougth against Muay thai under any rules.the next vid is Changpuek Vs Rick Roufus

  • @chai5552000 Sorry, This guy was the best TKD fighter. AT ALL. You don't know what you're talking about.

"TKD always sucks against Muay Thai" ?? oh dear god..

I just read through the comments you left on other videos, maybe you're just trolling, good luck with your small point of view.

  • @Mapnapkin No,problem...just prove it in an international tournament officially. such as K-1,S-cup,Sanda,MMA,UFC,The contender,Only the truth,it's already proven time to time since 1988-2011.Hope that can educated your eyes.So sorry the truth is hurt and pain.Wahaha

  • @chai5552000 Do you understand what I said. Did you even read what I said.

I will make it easy for you to understand..

    Muay Thai = good

    You = not smart

  • @Mapnapkin Hahaha, thanks that is my point.need to educate ppl.it's hurt and pain for lost guy or dumbass.

  • @chai5552000 Holy shit you are an idiot.. :)

  • this is what happens when one who learn how to "take points" faces with someone who learns how to "fight"

  • people must understand that although on tkd you cant grab on a street fight a tkd fighter will propably use punches as well and besides, you just need to kick low to beat someone on the street, theres no need to risk falling because of a turn, so tkd is a great martial art you just need to know how to perform well

  • TKD guy is a penis and would've gotten smoked if punches were allowed.

  • i take taekwon Do.... wher better than that

  • Yeah i mean seriously just becuase of some fights on youtube people think every taekwondo fighter in the world sucks... Ive taken down plenty muay thai users. Its not the style its the fighter

  • @logan0603 Personally, ive partaken in a couple of Boxing (Just Boxing. Not Kickboxing) and Thai Bouts just to try out the Sparring/Fighting styles, and im not even a Black Belt. The main point being that ive won more than ive lost, in those rounds. Also, just a minor pitch in: It isnt so much the style Style, as much as it is the Fighter, and the Instructor :)

  • @jwielmak - excuse me, but u obviously don't know TKD. and besides, from the look of his belt, it appears that the TKD fighter is only a fickin 1st dan, which would explain his lack of balance throughout the fight. I'd like 2 see a fight against an actual TKD fighter instead of this.

  • Typical ITF - lots of attitude, complete with an over-ornate uniform with black stripes and all, but no real effective technique, especially against a trained Muay Thai boxer, who is the real stuff. The ITF guy threw out his 300+ ineffectual lead leg side kicks, only to have them caught and humiliatingly countered. Toward the end the Thai boxer spared the ITF guy further embarassment.

  • To Everyone,

There is an interesting action movie that many people will want to see.

    Yamada the Samurai of Ayothaya

    watch?v=OqyWT28S-E8

    the rest is on youtube

    Copy, Paste, Enjoy.

  • when someone grabs your leg, use the other leg and kick him in the face!

  • Its not about style but about fighter. There you can see the MT fighter is better. Beacouse TKD fighter know rules but dont fight like taekwondo master. I do ITF and i seen alot of better tkd fighters.

  • i dont think this is ITF TKD

  • @WadePlaysPool Exactly. It is just how fast you can throw a kick. It is also how fast you can get thatfoot back on the ground.

  • @WadePlaysPool

If you're an actual TKD black belt, no one is going to grab your legs. Just go look up proper TDK fighters, this guy should wear a green belt..muay thai is overrated, if you wan't to get something done jujutsu is the way to go. Your powerful kicks/punches won't help a thing when you're arm is broken or you're grabbled on the ground..

  • @TheStickeye in alot of TaeKwonDo gyms they borrow grappling moves from judo, Hapkido, other grappling arts.

  • @TheStickeye Muay Thai is the most effective stand up art, It's been proven many times over thai kicks are the most devastating. TKD is only really useful when mixed with kickboxing to add more variety to your kicks e.g Anderson Silva. Also in the ring jujitsu is a major advantage but in real world situations you want to be taking people out as quickly as possible and running away not rolling around on the ground while their buddies stomp the fuck out of you

  • Tae kwon do is sloppy and will not work in a feal fight. I have personally beat 2 or 3 so called tae kwon do black belts and they all complain about getting hit in the face with my fist, in tae kwon do yo are not allowed to punch someone in the face hahahaaaa.

  • @WHYNOTMEB4U agreed! i joined a TKD school a few years back and beat the crap out of most of the "blackbelts". though some of them did actually give me a good fight, they are quick and elusive. they always wore those pansy torso guards, so i'd just go for there head.

  • @WHYNOTMEB4U I just read you saying that on the last page I was on. I'm starting to think this is a bluff your using to make TaeKwonDo look bad. Do you have something against it?

  • @Gwynyvyr13 WHAT THE FUCK DO YOU THINK? LIKING TAE KWON DO IS LIKE BELEIVING IN BENNY HINN.

  • taekwondo fighter is an idiot. Spinning back kick from like 1 ft away? ya that'll land right past the guy.

  • hahaha mauy Thai win

  • i need money!!

  • This guy sucks at taekwondo anyways wtf .. He musteve been the worst ive seen

  • taekwendo is too fancy imo

  • @kroooassant Thats because TKD is a pure commercial martial art with no real history other than just making a new sports fighting style where as styles like muay thai actually had a history and use to them are they both martial arts? yes, but TKD is flashy for the reason that it wasnt made for ACTUAL fighting.......Before anyone complans bout this comment pick up a book

  • @wes55463

WTF?? I mean What The F.!. are you saying? If you pick up a book you'll see that TKD is a martial art from Coreia used by the military, don't you see TV?familiar with "Human weapon"?Tall American guy fainting with one kick from a midget asian?...this one is just too scared to fight. Following you're ideas, if taekwondo is for commertial intent so it is karate since they were made for similar purposes.

  • @Gatenumber666 yes karate was made for commercial reasons and btw Korea* has no historical martial arts remaining today they died out after the 3 kingdoms period the rest are rip offs from japanese styles and some chinese

  • @wes55463 Rip offs? Look up the 1988 Taekwondo encyclopedia written by General Choi Hong Hi, there's science in it describing why you do shit, sciences that were discovered after a Japanese karate and Tae Kyon (The only two martial arts it was officially based on) so please after you educate yourself on this, tell me how taekwondo is a ripoff <3

  • @wes55463 Skateboarding was made for commertial reasons...pieces of wood for 50$. I wouldn't say that you'r wrong If you said that WTF was made for commertial reasons and it is incomplete...but ITF was created by a nation which didn't had means to protect itself. Krav maga was created under a similar situation and it has some "rip offs" from asian martial arts...wanna try it against muay thai?protect your balls!

  • @wes55463 the reason they are rip offs is becaue the japanese annexed korea for years and made japanese martial arts the only ones you were allowed to do its like saying australia is a rip off of england

  • @Gatenumber666 WHATS COREIA???

  • @Grapplersplanetcom Google it...dude...wtf?it can't be to complex for you...lol...

  • @wes55463 every martia art has its own history. tkd has its own. muay thai has its own. shoot, even boxing has its own. just because you dont like tkd (i'm not a big fan of it either), doesnt mean you have to make false implications about the art.

  • Comment removed

  • @WadePlaysPool that what i thought up until i felt how fast good tkd masters are

  • @WadePlaysPool LIES!!!!
