how do you get that real good popping noise when you pick? like its not echoing it sounds really stern i dont know how to explain it but it sounds nice
That was fantastic! Thanks so much for posting that for us. You play wonderfully. AND I love your banjo. It has a great bluegrass sound. Thumbs up to you.
thats my favorite flatt and scruggs tune. great job freind! fine pickin! i learned how to play a banjer when i was about 15 and put it down for several years. hell i might have to drag it out after hearing this and see if i can still pluck a tune lol.
Wow ! Love your flawless playing ! You're a real master ! Can you give me the address of HEAVEN where you ordered this banjo from ? I don't think one that sounds like this can be found down here !
Wow, your picking is amazing!! My best compliments, mate! After playing for 2 years on cheap banjo I've just bought a stunning Gibson Mastertone RB 800 cherry sunburst with gold hardware and, actually, it's a whole different story. I hope to be as good as you one day. Just great. Peace to u, man.
I have to tell you that I hate you. I'm so jealous of your ability. You play wonderfully on every video you've posted. I played guitar for 16 years and grew tired of it. In Nov. '07 I took up the banjo out of a love for bluegrass. Its been a frustrating instrument for me. I don't have the time to devote to it like I did to the guitar when I was 14. How long have you been playing? Your voicing is impeccable and your Granada sounds beautiful. Are you self-taught or have you had instruction?
wow you are the greatest Banjo Player Ever that sounds Exctally like the song thats great i have one ? what Brand of Banjo is that is that a Gibson let me
That's a Blaylock ring. Same as the new Osborne Chief banjos! I've heard a few and they sound great. Some of the best. ESPECIALLY in the famed Gibson Granada or any other banjo!

I didn't get real heavy into it till I was about 15. I've quit twice since and then got back into it.

Something magic about the age 15. JD Crowe and most of the NEw South started at 15, you at 15, and here I am 15 just startin out!
carteru93 4 years ago
He plays fast, but the art is more in the easy-sounding agility and perfect rhythm than the tempo.
