  • Thrilling, Mesmerizing, Tantalizing, Powerful & Exhilarating, I am running out of adjectives on how this piece makes one feel Mr. Cospite.

I think you are a Genius! *Bravo*

  • THANK YOU JO ! This really means A LOT to me. I had the first 'vision' of this composition when I was 15 years old (Oh Boy!) and I feared for many years that I could not ever be able to make people listen to it. It took years to found a right collaborator (Dan) and it took other years to shape it in a good form I could feel a little satisfied about it. Hopefully it will be played by a real orchestra someday. Whoa, I really can't work about something like that everyday... too stressful ^_^ THANKS

  • cool collaboration :)

  • Hey ! THANK YOU ! Welcome back ^_^

  • ummm ... I not received information from the upload of this video...Do not inform the subscribers of the upload videos of the people?...You know something?...

ALEC...fabulous! I love guitars and the eternal "LA" in background...good job!

    5*

  • Thank you friend ! :-)

(About your question, I don't know, it usually keeps subscribers informed about new uploaded videos ... youtube temporary malfunctions probably ...)

  • Veramente bella Alessandro. Più la sento e più mi piace. Avete sfornato un pezzone.

  • Grazie ancora, significa tanto per me :-)

  • Excellent - BRAVO!!!!

  • Thank You so much John ! :-)

  • Great work my friend! Tell your mate I love the tone of that guitar! Can you put a link to download this in the More Info? Or is it available to download on your MySpace? I'd love to listen to it like I do the rest of your songs. Superb song!!

  • Thank You Torenko !!! :-)

  • a future in writing theme tunes for films?????? Great work once again Ale! 5 stars

  • Great work Alec! Like Pink Floyd Atom Heart Mother feeling I become...

  • Thank you Fazil !!! I hadn't listened Atom Heart Mother at the time ... maybe The Wall but anything else from Floyd at the time ... but I like Atom Heart Mother a lot, and having The Final March equated to that record by you it's a great reward ! Thanks again, my friend ! :-)

  • Stai facendo passi da gigante Alex, bravissimo!

  • GRAZIE !!! :-)

Grazie davvero ! Apprezzo moltissimo il tuo giudizio !

  • Glad you finally published it. I remember listening an earlier version at your home. My compliments to both for the arrangement and also to Dan for the guitar. Waters' The Trial surley left an influence on you. I told you the 1st 3 notes of the theme remind me of Phenomena and actually the mid part has that atmosphere. The sound at 2:27 is interesting, what did you use? (I don't mean the synthchoir, synthbass, bell or wind, but something else, seems like radio).

  • First of all, thank you for your always very appreciated opinions, my friend!

In second place... I can't resist, I feel like I need to give you the answer!

    xD

So, it's me scratching the lower strings of (E and A) with my guitar pick!

    ^_^

  • That's incredible, it felt like radio effects or some complex sample from some japanese module.. Roger Waters and Alan Parsons would be both proud on you!

  • *proudly goes around with a t-shirt like this:

    Roger Waters

    and

    Alan Parsons

    would be both

    proud

    of me"

    ;-D

  • If only they could listen to you and to The Final March ^_^ Well, nothing is impossible! About the sound, there was the feel of a need of filler sounds around that point, and when Dan created them I had mind images of large Ice blocks cracking (a hint for a future alternative visual rappresentation of this track ^_^).

  • THANKS Giorgio !! It was years I didn't watch Phenomena or remember the soundtrack, and on the opposite side I can't be sure if I had already listened The Wall for the 1st time at the days of composing TFM, as both events happened in 1998. I think it's quite probable I hadn't listened The Wall yet at the time. Anyway I've always been fascinated by glorious classical pieces like Liszt's Hungarian Rhapsody 2 or Dukas' Sorcerer Apprentice and Sci-Fi-Horror OSTs of course. A mix of all, I think ^_^

  • The Final March.. indeed. A haunting and contemplative journey of the mind, body and soul. A great piece of music Alec. Kudos to you and everyone that was involved with its conception.

Thank you my brother from another mother.

    Kai

    London, England.

  • "my brother from another mother" it's beautiful :-) THANK YOU Kai :-) I'm really happy that you liked this piece so much ... you gave me a wonderful review. Thanks from the heart. Your brother Alec.

  • THANKS Mila !!! :-)

  • You're very kind, Mila! Thank you!

  • and you´re an artist !!!

  • Quite a Masterpiece, It could blend in perfect with all the other progressive bands instrumentals. I congratulate both of you, for awesome work here.

And Happy Anniversary Alec ..5 Stars and Favs , of course :-)

    Jason

  • Thank you from the heart Jason ! It's a great compliment for me to be equated to historic progressive bands, even because at the time of writing the song it was less than one year that I discovered symphonic rock myself ... so it's really something I had and have inside me, and I love to share it with people who appreciate it :-) Thanks even for the anniversary greeting ^_^

  • Your very welcome, I wonder what will be next from you.

  • Oh, don't expect 7-minutes pieces very often because it's very stressful to make them ! ^_^ You know ... I like to try many quite different things, so I will upload different music that -I hope- will be equally intense, even if from other sides of music universal language :-)

  • Thank you from me as well, Jason, I'm very honoured and thankful for such great words!

    ^_^

  • Your welcome Dan ;)

  • congrat. very progressive, very dark and intense. 5* and fav.

  • Thanks Carlos !! :-))

  • very cool freaky video the music is awesome too!

    *****

  • Thanks a lot Jane ! :-)

  • It sounds like a miltary march; than like than an american thrillers of the 50's. we expect to see an alien invasion

later in the song it seems that the human race win this battle.

this is my vision of ypur your song.

  • :-) Nice !! Well, I let a lot of interpretation to listeners on instrumentals, but I think that an epic battle such as Humans VS Aliens is appropriate for the climax of the song ! THANKS Loris !!

  • Great!!! I have already listened this but it is alweys fantastic to ear!!!!

    5 stars and favourite!!!

  • Grazie Albe ! ^_^ !

  • Hehe, you are one of the few persons that always hear everything before than anyone else... and your reaction is always so rewarding!

    ^_^

  • Bravo, to you and Dan!

    Absolutely fantastical!!!

    Happy Youtube Anniversary, Alec!

  • Thanks thanks thanks Lisa :-)

  • Thank you so much, Lisa! :-D

  • Well, I'm involved in the arrangement and I took that solo from my mind/heart/fingers... but, WOW!

    It's still bombastic! :-D

To think that this "thing", like many great others, lied in your mind for years: I'm very proud+glad to have helped to bring it out to the world!

Hehe, I still remember when I finished to improvise/record this solo, after that long note at the end (furious passion!) and I thought - wow, I got it! -

Now I'm curious to read all the comments!

    Thanks! :-D

    5*+fav.
