  • damn cool vid :D

  • it would have been better if you had used the normal beethoven song cause i think the piano would hve went with it sooooo much better

  • I really, really wish I could finish a campaign on this game without it crashing. Has there been any patches to fix it?

  • yeah this game is best TW ever!!

  • @blackgoldman2

apart from shogun and medieval 1 :P

  • @saintconnnor and Rome and medieval II -_-'.. this game is the worst TW EVER!! no really.. its a piece of shit. boring campaign, map sucks, waaaaay to focused on britain, battles are boring as hell because ai doesn't even move half of the time!!!!:S naval battles are sort of fun for 10 minutes, than the fact that al the ships are british models for al nations gets annoing

Rome was fun, good game. Medieval II was a dissapointment. Empire just sucks IMHO.

  • @evildeathmonkey1 are you insane? ETW is amazing! If the ai doesn't move it's because it's more advantageous for them to stay put! Defending is easier than attacking. Medieval II is fantastic and SO superior to RTW, but don't get me wrong it's a good game, but it does not even come close to Medieval II or ETW. The campaign might seem focused on britain because it became the largest major power around that time period. Learn what you're freaking hating on!

  • @KingOIdiots I know a little something about that time period. The united provinces of the Netherlands were the major power in the beginning of the game(1600). Britain and France had to team up against them and only after 1672 did they finally manage to get ahead of the Dutch. Yet the Dutch have NO units of their own, land units I don't care about, but naval units? come on, that's a laugh in this game... Dutch with British style ships? Indians with British style ships? that's just stupid..

  • @KingOIdiots Then look at the map.. no south amerika, no afrika, no south east asia. But India is there? bullshit. And don't even get me started on the battle maps. Paris is just 10 building?? I just can't take this game seriously.

  • @evildeathmonkey1 the British were the strongest maritime power, so obviously European nations would probably base their ships off of Britain's, I agree that there should be more variety, however. The Indians didn't really have strong ships worthy of ocean travel and probably would've relied on European ships. Remember that this is Creative Assembly's first real stretch into naval combat, give them a break.

  • @evildeathmonkey1 The Total War series never have realistic and unique cities and instead just have generic ones, so they wouldn't make a sprawling city just for Paris. It's just a downside from today's video gaming, in later years they might give more historically important and famous cities more individuality, just stop bitching until then. The game takes up 15 gbs, that's huge! You want them to double that by adding the less historically important continents? Hope for them in expansions.

  • @KingOIdiots Boy, you are in need of a History lesson :| Britain the strongest maritime power? yeah when hell freezes over.. Dutch kicked their asses in the 17th century. sailed up the Thames and burned the British fleet at anchor. towing away their flagship. Besides that, Britain and France were in a civil war(Catholics vs protestants) at that time. I see nothing of that in the game. Indonesia was very important in that era. Portugal is overlooked as well now that I think of it.

  • @evildeathmonkey1 And I highly doubt that was their only fleet.

  • @KingOIdiots Read a history book. The Dutch were superior to the the British AT THAT TIME. and it was not a surprise attack.. search for the Anglo-Dutch wars, there where 4. the first was a draw, the second and third were clear victories for the Dutch, the third the Dutch lost. And the Dutch DID have a huge empire that spanned the globe, but the British took it after Napoleon invaded. New York was Dutch. So was South afrika, Australia, Seilon(Sri Lanka)parts of india and parts of south Am.

  • @KingOIdiots And that was indeed their only fleet. they did not have their Empire back then. Why would they need a second fleet?

  • @evildeathmonkey1 so what your saying is that in the end the British took the Dutch's empire. Wouldn't that require a navy stronger than the Dutch's? The British are an island nation and would require a strong navy, The English did smash the much larger Spanish Armada. And your right, that was probably their only fleet, I didn't really think that one through.

  • @KingOIdiots Yes you are right, they did have a stronger navy -->eventually<-- But in the timespan of this game, 1600 to about 1700, they didn't. And in this time the Dutch had their ''golden age''. it wasn't until the last Anglo-Dutch war in 1780-1784 that the British gained the upper hand. the problem the Dutch had was that they had to chose between an army to keep out France, or a navy to keep out the British in 1672 they got it wrong and the French invaded. weakening them and allowing

  • @KingOIdiots The British breathing space to build their fleet. But that's only in the end of the game isn't it? And another thing is that there was a different mindset between the Brits and Dutch. Dutch didn't care about land, only about trade. British were Imperialistic, the Dutch weren't. For example, Australia was ''discovered'' by the Portuguese and then the Dutch mapped the north, west and south coast. Called it ''New Holland'' but found nothing to trade so left again.

  • @KingOIdiots But what are you going to do? The developers are British, they love to change history.

  • @evildeathmonkey1 if the Dutch were so superior to the British, why did they have the huge colonial empire that spanned the globe and not the Dutch? If Britain was in a civil war they were obviously too freakin' focused on conflict in their own country than with a foreign neighbor and an enemy could easily smash into the Thames and burn their fleet. It sounds like a surprise attack anyway, so the British couldn't strut their naval stuff and crush the Dutch.

  • i love this game... ;)

  • Man this movie is sssssssoooo sweet! I am going to subscribe.
