Thanks for this review. I recently got this Otterbox Defender iPhone 3G/3GS Black Case and it fits my iPhone 3GS very well. A problem I seem to be having is that when I call, people cannot hear me and my voice breaks up when the case is on the phone. It's strange because there is nothing over or blocking the mic ports located on the bottom of the iPhone and my iPhone functions properly/sounds okay without the case on it.
Might you or anyone else have any solution to this problem?
I have this case I love it, I'm a high rise window washer , this case I looked at befor even getting my iPhone . I don't trust the holster tho, it's good till you sit in your car and then get out, I dropedy phone twice this way. So I keepit in my pocket . I like it there I know it's there. I also got Bluetooth headphones that I play my music , make calls and answer them all hands free
i do have a question. i hunt and fish alot and i am quite OCD about my iPhone. is this fairly easy to get out of your pocket (i hate belt clips) and is it a good quality case?
You have an understandable belief. However, the cheapest you're going to spend on an iPhone 3G 8GB is $199. That is a lot of money to some people. I would want to protect my investment.

wow i've never had that question before lol. but interesting though. i just looked at the clip. from where the spring of the clip is to the bottom where it grasps on to a belt, i'd say is about 2 inches. maybe a little bit more. but 6cm is about 2.4in which is a little bit big. so i don't know if it'll fit your belt. it would definitely go on, but i don't know if it'll be able to grasp the bottom of the belt.
Yup my everday case as well. Its not for everyone. But man its the best case I own. It aint gonna win any Vaja awards but it sure works good. You have to use a Powersupport Anti Glare to combat that oilspill. Also the membrane (inside) scratches easy. Customer service is top notch, they sent me a new case just because of some smudge marks that weren't wiping away on the inside. No questions asked they shipped me a brand new one, did not want the old one back! Now that is good service!
This is my everyday case and I love it. Be warned that if you own the apple bluetooth then the included charging cable is too big for the sync port. I still love this case. Worth the money

Can't wait till they release the iPhone 4 version! I'll be getting one. The fact that they have the ability to cover the ports is a big plus to me!
