so going to try this game out been looking at it for a while, if I did would I need gw1 as well as the 2nd one?, would I need to get all those gw1 exspantions..if there are any ?

@GOONERSSA Guild Wars 2 is a brand new game, which means you don't need the 4 old Guild Wars games. When you buy GW2, you get a brand new account. ( of course, players who buy the 4 old GW games and fill up there Hall of Monuments, will get 3 different armor sets, 1 free weapon from each weapon type and minipets, plus they can reserve there names in the HoM and use it in GW2 )

@mazivness Thx for subb ! No one knows the release date :( :( The only thing we know, that this summer, at Gamescom Germany and PAX Seattle, there will be a Hands-on Demo for GW2 ( where anyone can try out the game ).

@OPworldwideIA But the game it's not out yet, not even the beta. How do you know that the game is bad ? ( if you referring to Guild Wars 1, than it's ok, not many people like heavy instancing, but this game will be different, and I mean different ! Persistent world, 5 races to choose from, many classes, like gun class, strategic Battlefield where you need to supply the catapults, and so on ).
