A grenade detonate 5 seconds later since you pull off the ring. That grenade has detonated at least 10 or 15 seconds later. Beside, Chuck would kill him automatically with a roundhouse kick.

Most hand grenades don't detonate until X seconds after you release the spoon (lever, safety handle), not when the pin is pulled.
