“… but this is a hard world to be ludicrous in, with so many human beings so reluctant to laugh, so incapable of thought, so eager to believe and snarl and hate… Say what you will about the sweet miracle of unquestioning faith, I consider a capacity for it terrifying and absolutely vile.”
The sad thing is that a significant portion of the people watching this are probably thinking more about rationalizing why this great clip supports a preexisting political agenda than about the stated message.
"Faced with the choice between changing one's mind and proving that there is no need to do so, almost everyone gets busy on the proof."
We will always be hated, discarded, regarded as 'pansies', and marginalized. Until this "great" country falls or people wake up, we will always see this. Not only that, but Iraq was a way to spread this disease to the middle east. Iraq was a nation building experiment. We are in a laboratory right now. If Iraq becomes a "democracy" (which means little more than an American friendly nation) then we will see more "wars on terrorism".
Years ago, I listened to Radio Moscow on shortwave radio. A major theme of the times was the fight against "American Imperialist Expansionism." (Which meant, war for profit.)
And Radio Moscow was RIGHT. (Not they THEY didn't have their own expansionist wars.)
War is ECONOMIC in nature. There is no "good fight" for "freedom." Real freedom doesn't exist in the United States. And in the few places it might, they are there to STAMP IT OUT, lest the peasants find out what is going on.
The press is owned by the same arrogant ESTABLISHMENT that owned it 45 years ago. If you control the money, you control the government. If you control the media....your propaganda controls the thinking of people too lazy to think for themselves.
Where was the rest of the cowardly, criminal complicit Democrats when Barbara Lee had to cast a lone vote for sanity? Thanks for a great video Darganot.
Senator Morse knew that LBJ was a enemy alien and part and parcel of the FDR Cabal, and the Gulf of Tonkin Resolution would destroy US, now 44 years later what do have ? Bend over.
we do not live in a democracy. I hate this guys tone. This talk slow so all the dumb people can understand... Sounds like a typical politician with a politica agenda. Cant be trusted either!
We must ask for the truth...nothing more and nothing less...then we should engage in decide whether a certain issue is right or wrong.....that is our duty and also right
If America were truly great and would recognize that we live in an Empire, we'd allow for the peaceful separation of the States into different Independent Nations. In particular, the Northeast, The South, the Far West, Hawaii, and Alaska. We could be joined by treaty for the purposes of trade and defense, but we would be free to allow our very different cultures and value systems to thrive without the incessant conflict we experience today. Who wouldn't want to live in a peaceful society?
Iran is a country whose defense spending is less than 1% of our own; spends less on its military than countries such as the Netherlands and Sweden; has never invaded another country in modern history, and could not possibly threaten us
Living in America, here's the sad truth: Most Americans don't give a shit...at least not enough to stand up and get involved in condemning what's going on. Life is generally still good here for many people, and no one cares enough to rock the boat they're enjoying sailing in, even if it's headed for a cliff. It's sad, it's pathetic and it's going to be history repeated. So much for being different.
Perhaps the biggest number one reason the thugs in the District of criminals and the 5% of US that know full truth is that the regime will give you attention whether an independant reporter, writer, military man acamdemic etc. You will loose you job in the least.
I think that people in general....U.S. citizens are uneducated about almost everything. We are sheep who care only about our cool new cell phones and nice houses.......Oh how great we could become.....if only we'd take the initiative as a nation to stop, look around us.....and think.
America boasts about being the most democratic and free-thinking nations in the world, which annoys all the other democracies in the world, but in fact they have the most propaganda and if you hear about the plan for the new american century, the most chance of trying to build an unofficial empire and seek authority over other nations.
Dear sarshvfalk- "how great we could become..."I believe that to be true. I'm from other country and we see the different U.S. Very very different from what so many americans claim. Have some heart, be a human, and christ's sake stop killing innocent people for just to spike your guys self-worth. We are not jealous toward U.S. We are exhausted with dealing with U.S and its citizens. Wish your guys a lot of luck.
@sarahvfalk this is very true but its done by design to keep us like sheep.and its nearly to late to reverse all of this.jersey shore will forever control our friends minds.went up to a guy in school few days ago told them that the gum there eating has aspartame in it.looked at me like i was crazy and just kept chewing, even after i told them of all of the health effects.we can only protect ourselves at this point.

...the world, which seems
To lie before us like a land of dreams,
So various, so beautiful, so new,
Hath really neither joy, nor love, nor light,
Nor certitude, nor peace, nor help for pain;
And we are here as on a darkling plain
Swept with confused alarms of struggle and flight,
Where ignorant armies clash by night.

The female equivalent of "gentleman" is "lady." There is no term in Webster's Unabridged Dictionary: "gentle woman."

how funny we are spreading democracy to other country, while we don't even have a fundamental basis of democracy in our front door steps.
