@jawatech unless it has the peanut port heads....with the cam he has, and the exhaust it's not at all hard to get that power..if not more. a stock big block open or closed chamber head can do that power he claims. even the proper "aftermarket" valves can get you a good 20 horsepower

Your truck is mint, do the brake booster/servo make that much difference as the brakes dont give me much confidence when im trying to slow down from speed in my c10 with a 350 sbc, Mine does'nt have the brake booster fitted. Check mine out, look forward to your reply

looks good man.. i restored an 82 shortbed stepside. frame restoration, all new old stock gm sheet metal, sbc 350, roller cam, big port vortec heads, 650 cfm holly truck avenger carb. 10 bolts with 4.56 gears, lifted 6 inchs with brand new 36" dick cepek fun country tires. (the old ones)... has a turbo 350 in it now but im putin a 700r4 in soon for overdrive.

@martinprzb Let ne put it this way I got a mint '76 with almost all the upgrades he has to the engine, tranny, wheels and ect. but interier is all stock in mint condition except for a grand in upgrades to the stereo. Now the big difference is mine has the factory 350 which would be cheaper to build up BUT as an all original numbers matching low milage one owner truck with ALL documentation from purchace and first oil change to the quart or oil I got 3 days ago probably in the same ball park.

@martinprzb The difference really is I'm only turning about 350 horsepower. So saying mine is the cheapest you'll find in this condition....... I paid $15,000.00 Canadian........ I'd guess 20 to 25 grand. I can and will next summer swap in a 454, I'd like a 396 but harder to find here anyway. The cost would be less then 5 grand for the engine and the swap is free ( I'm a licenced mechanic and my dad owns his own garage).

Extremelly nicely and properly done. My only issue would be, just cuz its a performance ride, doesn't mean you have to short it the AC. I see its a factory AC truck. Hook that stuff up with an under run pulley on the compressor or use an idler to gear down. With that big cam, its idling high enough, even with under run pulley, it should still be cooling at idle I'd think.
