The midasian became a part of Russia when russia was still a feudal state. Xinjiang became a part of china in Qing Dynasty. It has nothing to do with communist.

The name xinjiang was givn by manchurian emperor Kiangxi (1654-1722). It is not a communist name. The 2nd East Turkistan republic was built by russian communists. Don't hate communist. They are your ancestors.
