I do have to say this song is quite shamefully bad. I am a Christian and I love to hear people's love for Christ, but I think that involves making good quality music and not tacky lyrics. The lyrics are just too tacky. Theocracy in my opinion is a lot better lyric wise.

But I think they should have gotten a better grasp of the English language before translating if the translation is the problem. They should have translated it differently cause from my perspective the lyrics seem cheesy.

She should have worked more on her lyrics before releasing them. If she wanted to talk about things that make people feel uncomfortable, she should do so in a more clear manner. Lyrics are something that can be polished up, and an artist should not release their music until it's finished meaning it is as clear as it will get.

The nature of God. You said that God must be evolved. Well then He wouldn't be much of Creator anymore. I have in fact checked out Behe in the past and find the whole concept of Irreducible Complexity completely absurd. Nothing in nature is irreducibly complex. I believe Behe used the example of the bacteria flagellum, the motor mechanism of which is in fact used in other processes of the bacterium such as for toxin transport. Everything in nature can be broken down to less complex pieces that still function (albeit less efficiently). You can essentially observe evolution in reverse.
In my opinion,what we could say at least.Is that if evolution theory is true,there must have been something, Somebody who has controlled it,guided it to form complex, information rich DNA, proteins, cells etc.Random natural selection just won't cut it.Is that someone God or some very intelligent aliens or what?That is a completely different question.I happen to believe that Someone is the God of the Bible, because of other reasons.But that is a different discussion.:)

It wasn't a random combination of mutations and molecules that got us to where we are, it was careful selection over time by nature. And OF COURSE nobody has witnessed macroevolution, it is a massive process. As you said, it is simply the culmination of microevolution. It's an inevitable fact.

The power of a 5th chord on a distorted electric guitar, the sweeping vocals of a classically trained voice, and the emotional despair of the ever common minor tonality all represent what were are saved from and how we Christians should live our lives (as powerful, beautiful yet humble children of God).

I have in fact checked out Behe in the past and find the whole concept of Irreducible Complexity completely absurd. Nothing in nature is irreducibly complex. I believe Behe used the example of the bacteria flagellum, the motor mechanism of which is in fact used in other processes of the bacterium such as for toxin transport. Everything in nature can be broken down to less complex pieces that still function (albeit less efficiently). You can essentially observe evolution in reverse.

In my opinion,what we could say at least.Is that if evolution theory is true,there must have been something, Somebody who has controlled it,guided it to form complex, information rich DNA, proteins, cells etc.Random natural selection just won't cut it.Is that someone God or some very intelligent aliens or what?That is a completely different question.I happen to believe that Someone is the God of the Bible, because of other reasons.But that is a different discussion.:)

@lahmarko I somehow doubt you are an actual chemist, when you don't even know the basics of natural selection and evolution. It is NOT random, not in the slightest. It wasn't a random combination of mutations and molecules that got us to where we are, it was careful selection over time by nature. And OF COURSE nobody has witnessed macroevolution, it is a massive process. As you said, it is simply the culmination of microevolution. It's an inevitable fact.

That is also a possibility.But I don't see any real evidence of macroevolution.Evolution theory predicts much of its processes.But of course I keep an open mind and if there is results in the future so be it.God is still there.

Finally, by accepting creationism, you are stating that because we are so complex, there has to be a creator behind us. But have you not thought of how complex that creator must be? Where did he come from? If he even exists then he is inevitably a product of universal evolution.

It makes a hell of a lot more sense to actually look for an answer than just be satisfied with "god did it." On the other hand,even if evolution is really the fact as scientists today BELIEVE it to be.It does not answer many basic foundational questions.Like how did the first DNA strand formed and how did the first protein managed to "learn" to read that DNA strand and how did it "understood" the information and managed copy itself...these are very specific questions that science can not answer.Science gives VERY general answer about how the first cell evolved but no specific mechanisms are known.

I'm chemist (M.Sc) and I have studied chemistry,math,biochemistry, little microbiology and molecular biology.I believe in intelligent design.The thing is, there is not really experimental evidence to support the claim that for example that birds were evolved from the dinosaurs or that human evolved from apes.Such a transformations and its mechanisms have not been observed in nature.Yes we have fossils,but they don't tell much.Imagination fills the gaps according to the evolution theory.Logical?

Proper scientific education and they believe in God and intelligent design. Actually it is kind of far fetched to think that pure accident could have formed such a complexity of life and the information (coding DNA libraries). Evolution is true in some level of course. But what caused the Big Bang, how did evolution developed blood clotting system? And so on.

@MsLittleprincess999 You may perceive that the singer is mocking holy words, but that perception comes from within you. It is not an accurate reflection of her intent.
One time I made the "okay" sign with my hand to a friend from Brazil. She thought I had just insulted her. In her culture the sign is offensive. In mine (Canada) it is a sign of praise and encouragement. I hope that helps :). This is the way Finnish metal musicians honestly worship God and share the Good News.

I agree! I just came across them recently and love all their stuff even though I don't understand it all. Wish we had more Christian bands in Canada that played music of this caliber - their live stuff is awesome! God bless you HB!!
